If Kovacic is ready to move on for first team football, and for £27mill, we should be busting a gut to get him here. Exactly the sort of player we need in this team, in a position we have been found somewhat wanting recently too. Especially if Barkley is now too far off with regards his injury.
Barkley is back in full training now

Where has all the talk of Kovacic wanting out stemmed from? I missed El Classico, so I'm not aware if something went on today that I don't know about

Largely blamed for the first goal...though, I think I heard today that this was the first match RM have lost when Kovacic started.

If Manure is after Ryan Sess as reported, we'll have no chance.
There was some ITK claiming that this may not be the case which I hope so potentially good player who will only get better especially under poch you would feel.

Can't agree with this
1 if he wants any hope of actually playing first team football he would not go to moaninhio

2 he apparently does not want to leave London family etc.

3 jose moaninhio

4 we are spurs ennit fam ;)

Apparently Sessegnon doesn’t want to leave his family in London, also we have Poch and they have Mourinho so for a young player it’s potential career suicide.

United have the money advantage obviously but not all players put money as the main factor.

So what - I'm sure we would splash £25m on him too.

People moan about Poch but Jose does not give youth a chance

Lindgard and Rashford pretty much starters for United, while McTominay been featuring quite a bit. Sometimes we overrate our own ability to give youth a chance imo.

Lingard is older than Harry Kane. Not sure he’s still considered youth.

Wtf Lingard and Rashford were already established players at Man Utd, they were bought through by LVG, playing them isn't the same as bringing them through and nurturing them to be established Premier League footballers.

If we just signed Barkley I’d be happy. If we lose Rose then I’d be happy with either of Sessegnon or Shaw (who I still feel can become an outstanding player) but I would rather that waited till summer for the sake of stability.

Anybody who wants Kovacic or any other non-HG player needs to suggest which two of the following 18 non-HG (CL registration rules) will leave to make space. Nkoudou looks likely to leave on loan but we’d still need on more out.

  1. Lloris
  2. Vorm
  3. Gazzaniga
  4. Aurier
  5. Alderweireld
  6. Sanchez
  7. Foyth
  8. Vertonghen
  9. Davies
  10. Dier
  11. Wanyama
  12. Dembele
  13. Sissoko
  14. Lamela
  15. Son
  16. Eriksen
  17. Nkoudou
  18. Llorente
I think all we’ll see is Nkoudou out, maybe Barkley in, unless Rose is heavily targeted. I’d take that, it would leave us with a strong squad of:

Lloris Vorm Gazzaniga
Aurier Trippier
Alderweireld Sanchez
Vertonghen Foyth
Rose Davies
Dier Wanyama
Dembele Winks
Eriksen Lamela
Dele Barkley
Son Sissoko
Kane Llorente

Am I the only one that thinks if United really wanted Sessignon they'd offer more than £25 million?
I just don't buy it.
