Personally, I’d sell Rose to Utd for the highest price I could (£40m?) and include Shaw in the deal to make it £55m ish.

Then use that money to buy Sessegnon brothers £30m and Barkley £20m.

Sess can then be used as a left winger which is where I think he’s more dangerous.

Shaw and Davies at lb.

I think that would be an excellent January, reduce the age of the squad and would allow us to get rid of Rose who’s head is gone and GNK also.

I have to say my strategy would be to sell Rose and use that money to sign Sessegnon ( who will not be a full back for long) and definitely Tierney from Celtic. I think that would be good business.

I wouldn't sell Rose at all, I hope he stays, he may go and if he does I'd want a bloody top price and a bloody good replacement but I wouldn't look forward to it.

Am I the only one that thinks if United really wanted Sessignon they'd offer more than £25 million?
I just don't buy it.

What with the crazy fees being paid for players these days, and the fact that January window usually dictates that player signings cost more, £25 million might be considered low.

However, whilst his age could well mean his ability should only improve, it has to be remembered that he has only played roughly 50 games for a Championship club.

Whilst that is surely admirable for one so young, can he make the step up to Premier league level. Not only Premier league level, but to a club regularly fighting for the top spots and Europa/Champions league football.

I'm not doubting his ability, but a whole lot of new pressure for a youngster.

I think £25-30 million wouldn't be that far off the mark at all. Like I say, how many Championship players have moved for this kind of money, let alone after playing under 50 games.

His fee will be high as a result of his age first and foremost, with his ability not too far behind. Will it translate to the Prem?.

I think it will from what I've seen of him, but we certainly won't be signing the finished article.

Conclusion. .. £25 million seems very reasonable to me.

If we just signed Barkley I’d be happy. If we lose Rose then I’d be happy with either of Sessegnon or Shaw (who I still feel can become an outstanding player) but I would rather that waited till summer for the sake of stability.

Anybody who wants Kovacic or any other non-HG player needs to suggest which two of the following 18 non-HG (CL registration rules) will leave to make space. Nkoudou looks likely to leave on loan but we’d still need on more out.

  1. Lloris
  2. Vorm
  3. Gazzaniga
  4. Aurier
  5. Alderweireld
  6. Sanchez
  7. Foyth
  8. Vertonghen
  9. Davies
  10. Dier
  11. Wanyama
  12. Dembele
  13. Sissoko
  14. Lamela
  15. Son
  16. Eriksen
  17. Nkoudou
  18. Llorente
I think all we’ll see is Nkoudou out, maybe Barkley in, unless Rose is heavily targeted. I’d take that, it would leave us with a strong squad of:

Lloris Vorm Gazzaniga
Aurier Trippier
Alderweireld Sanchez
Vertonghen Foyth
Rose Davies
Dier Wanyama
Dembele Winks
Eriksen Lamela
Dele Barkley
Son Sissoko
Kane Llorente

It's a joke Davies doesn't count as home grown. I know wales have their own FA but Swansea play in the EPL, do home grown players for them only count as players that came from Welsh academies? That would leave them pretty fucked if it was

Rules just don't make sense

Having a 3rd choice keeper who is not HG is such a dumb move, makes literally 0 sense. Beyond that I would expect GKN and Sissoko to go if we can find upgrades. I know Sissoko has played a lot this season but I think that has been out of necessity rather then choice, he is so far from being the required standard and he’s getting old so we will need to sell him soon if we want to recoup anything.

Neres looks like he has a lot of raw materials with which to work with. I wonder where he will end up next season?

Neres has more potential than Kluivert imo. Kluivert might just be a one trick pony, cuts in and bends it in bit mahrez like. He didn’t offer too much else today. Neres could be anything tbh a real livewure only played 20 games for them. Ajax paid 12m from Brazil for him. I don’t really get why we can’t find these kinds in South America but Ajax can. It’s not rocket science I watch the kid for 90 mins and it’s obvious he is a player. I wonder sometimes what our scouts actually do. Reckon I could do a better job in bed on a Sunday if you gave me live feeds from round the world lol.
