Would love Carrasco, he’s quality.

Regarding JJ’s tweet. I’m not exactly expecting much movement for now, but how do they tie into Poch’s comments regarding us agreeing transfers for next summer I wonder.

That's a risk, we don't really know how fit he is now and how fit he's gonna be in 2/3 months, it's pointless IMO, why not wait until the summer when he'll be free?

because other clubs may be interested then? We might be favourites now but that could change by the summer.

Unless Spurs were to have a (major) outgoing I doubt there would be much movement.

Besides the couple of key injuries, the squad is settled.

I know there will be rumblings of 'lack of depth' and some of those questioning it may have a point, it's not been part of the blueprint for a long time now.

Guess you never say never though, it's a fun month for the most part, well if you take it as fun, it's serious business for some folk!

:ROFLMAO:

January transfer window now primarily exists mostly for low league clubs to plug gaps in their squad... And the bigger clubs to loan out some bench warmers.

... Anyone hoping for something of real substance should prepare themselves to be disappointed.

If he chooses another club he isn't for us then, besides summer we'll have more options to sigh other players. Our future doesn't rest on signing Ross Barkley.

Of course. I just think it's worth signing him now. Remember Poch said a few weeks ago that we have to be smart and sign players earlier than the summer in order to bed them in ready for next season.

Unless his injury his career-threatening (doubtful), he could still have an impact this season.

I agree with this however signing a player who isn't fit and we have no idea if he's gonna be back to the player that he was before his injury isn't being smart IMO. :)

As I said, I doubt he's a cripple :p
A thorough medical could determine whether the hamstring injury will impact his career. For a relatively low fee now it's worth the small risk IMO :)

Can't believe 6 months later I'm still reading about getting Barkley and even that only getting him would be a good window. :oldman: He hasn't kicked a PL-ball since May and all of the sudden he'll "contribute to our season", "make for a very good window" and "help us win trophies". We don't even know how good he is at this point.

His body language and on pitch persona seemed fine yesterday. None of that explains how any of us know he won't change his opinions.

The on pitch stuff and body language was just me being facetious, he's always been a chippie little fucker. I don't mind that at all but he's made it pretty clear he wants his bumper northern payday, and quite honestly I don't mind that either, he can fuck off with my blessing, because he's never been as great as he thinks he is.
