Funny how start of the season loft and Harrison were playing well and they were the next big thing, now they are written off. There young they will peak and dip in form. Harrison and loft are good players I am sure far worse have made it :) Akindayini might not have a great all round game but he can finish and that is a valuable skill only time will tell. They are at an age were a lot of influence can distract them I would not write anyone off just yet look at Mason 23 yrs old.
If you want to quote me on saying Akindayini, Harrison, or Loft are the next big things feel free to try and find it.

My opinion is my own and I'd appreciate it not being jumbled in.

I'll certainly entertain what you think is so great about their skillsets and what you project for the future though. Personally I don't see enough from each of them to think they'll be future first teamers at this club.

I have always found Ugo to be a quiet, thoughtful and understated kinda fella... :wideyed::wideyed::wideyed:
Exactly, seems too smart to join Sherwood. Hopefully he is being groomed as a future head coach for us. It would be great to have a manager who is a Spurs fan.

I haven't seen enough of Akindayani or Loft to haver a firm opinion but Harrison is a very good footballer, great technique, good vision and awareness and has an eye for a goal. Can play striker and behind a striker I think.

These kids have bursts and lulls in their development sometimes, footballing, physical and mental. Good phases and indifferent ones. It's not always the most naturally talented or technically gifted that make it furthest as other facets like character and luck can play a big part, so it is very hard to project which actually will make it so cast iron predictions are folly.

"Marcus Edwards, sat in the hole behind the front two as John Peacock's side lined-up with a midfield diamond, was showing all the trickery that was lacking against the Dutch, running at the defence and keeping possession well in the final third.

He also played a part in the opener on 26 minutes, floating in a free-kick that was parried away by the keeper towards Green. The Aston Villa youngster rose highest to head back across goal for Sterling and he was first to the ball to bravely nod home past the lunging goalie."

Coaches should just come to the forum. We could have told them how it should have been first match haha.

Really good interview with Sterling, like the whole sticking his head in where it hurts. And sounded like he was saying a lot of the right things. Hope he gets a chance next game too, between his performances for us this season and scoring on debut, lord knows he deserves it.

Have you seen @Woland contribution to the What Our Opponents Fans are Saying thread (detailing Villa fans reactions to he Artist Formerly Known as InterTim's appointment called The Hilarity Selection)?

One of their fans likens TS to Danny Dyer (or is it Dire?) :giggle::giggle::giggle:

he is being groomed

You mean...Uncle Arsene's been visiting his FaceBook page? :woot::woot::woot:

I agree making any "cast iron" prediction is folly.

I'm just saying I haven't seen enough from any of the 3 mentioned in their highs or lows that make me see them as future 1st teamers.

I'm also not making some Kaz Hirai underwear eating claim either.

All I'm saying is I haven't seen it. If I was making a projection (because that's what they are) I'd say I don't see their futures being here. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, it takes a tremendous amount of quality to be a 1st teamer here. While of course being so young players can be late bloomers etc. But again based on what I've seen I don't foresee that happening.

I actually compared him to Messi in his style in this thread. The way he moves/walks/dribbles etc. Sounds extreme but he has that low centre of gravity and excellent balance too.

Haha. True, what's football without hope. I already said Edwards plays similar to Messi. So ye, so much for tempering expectation.

have a watch of this excellent messi video, it's this side to his game where i can see why you've likened edwards to him - as insane as it will sound to some.

Just heard on the radio that we have been found 70% responsible for one of our youth players suffering a head injury. I can't see any news about this online.

Anyone know anymore?

This judgement is actually good news.

Spurs were only vicariously responsible as the employers of the two doctors who failed in their duty of care to Radwan Hamed. Spurs' 70% of the responsibility will be covered by insurance.

The judgement means that Hamed will get the compensation he deserves and needs but it won't cost the club.
Yeah that's how i saw it too. It's been a sad case from start to finish but glad it's had a good outcome eventually.

Not at all I was I saying that or disagreeing with you only find it funny how at the start of the season they were both being heralded now written off. Sorry if it came across like I was picking on you my point was aimed more at everyone I just have seem a few people on here write players off suddenly who were playing well. I have defended lots of our youth not because I think they will make but because it's far to early to tell. Kane and Livermore are prime examples of how far hard work and desire can get you. Kane is bloody talented but I am sure a lot of more talented players have not made but it's his mentality, hard work, wanting to improve and passion which make him special. Livermore is not the most talented but his made it again due to hard work. If loft and Harrison knuckle down like many of our players with luck they could have a good career. I see success for our accademy not judged soley by our first team but how many kids we give the foundations and help making a living from football.

The video isn't working mate but glad to know I'm not the only one that sees it. Everytime I watch him I think it.
