I really like those 4 but all are a long way from the first team except maybe CCV because he just seems to rise to the challenge at every level.

Though he did make some mistakes if Im looking at him as a first team player like the chance where Brown chokeslammed Amo's

He got attracted to brown and ran out to him not noticing Boga was free as a result, which led to brown slipping him in

i know u21 football is a million miles from premier league football but it's still hard to watch today's game and not think that any of amos/winks/miller would be an improvement on paulinho. as for the chelsea kids, i just found it funny seeing our lads knocking the ball around the likes of rlc/brown/solanke who all have big hype and big contracts already, their lads are bigger, ours are better, i firmly believe that. i think jay dasilva is in the wrong academy, maybe we could give them akindayini in return lol.

Dozzell looks a really nice player, surprised noone's poached him from Ipswich yet though it would help if eh stays there. What a shocking miss from France

Tottenham Under-21 goalkeeper Luke McGee makes a brilliant double save to deny Chelsea's Isaiah Brown. http://snpy.tv/1GhbTbX

He's only 15/16. I meant I'm surprised noone has poached him for Ipswich's academy to put in their own
Don't think his father would advise him to move to a big club just yet because it can go wrong just like it did for him at Spurs.

I agree. I missed the cup semi at Chelsea but watched the first leg and today and don't think brown is that good, he just seems a bit lazy. Same as solanke, who looks like he's gone backwards since I watched him play for England last summer. It could just be the fat contracts they are on not making them want to turn up for games like today.

Any relation to Jason. Must be coming from Ipswich.

Edit: just seen edsons post.

Jason dozzell, awful but better than Paulinho.

Evening all. I'm just watching the U21 v Chelsea game that I recorded earlier. Can any of you guys tell me who would normally be in our strongest U21 side, who's missing etc.

Thanks.

Right now with the players out on loan, that is our best u21 side.

However rewind to earlier in the season with Ball and Veljkovic as CB's, Coulthirst as striker, Ward as a CM , Oduwa as AM, etc, and the side is a lot lot stronger.

And if you wanted to frighten the opposition, Harry Kane and Nabil Bentaleb still qualify as u21's !

Edit - Ogilvie (LB) is ill, Onomah not there,

Cheers SI.

First half Cheslea definitely had the edge, but we were tactically good, and there were phases where our football was better, more cohesive. I thought Winks and Amos had good first halves, both busy and tenacious but both technically god, get their heads up when on the ball too and both played some nice passes (Amos playing Akindiyini in with the best pass).

I would actually suggest that at
LB:Ogilvie
CB: Khumulo, Ball, Veljkovic and Maghoma would of been upgrades to Lesniak(CM)
CM: Lesniak, Onomah and Ward would of been upgrades to Amos, who is new to this level but very talented.
Wing: Oduwa
Striker: Coulthirst

What are the odds that Onomah didn't play tonight because he's in Poch's plans for the weekend?

Unlikely since he would of played anyway as its only 24 hours after the first team played. More likely he is still in Switzerland.

We did struggle to field this side and did have to send some players back
