Cheers JJ. Why doesn't Levy want to offer Harry a new contract? Is it just the money, or has he got something lined up.

Could it be to do with his age and/or the feeling that by the end of next season Harry may have taken the team as far as he can and Levy doesn't want to get tied into a compensation package if he wants to make a change. Not saying I agree with this, just thinking out loud.

Potentially. Or Levy feels that loyalty works both ways and Redknapp should tell the FA to do one.

Maybe, when JJ says he feels like 'Arry has 15 months left in him, it was closer to the mark than he intended (unless that was his exact meaning, of course)...

...for the reasons THFC :)omg:) gives.

If harry thought a team of english players were going to win anything, Why haven't Spurs got all english players !!. Sorry but I think he'd be mad to take the job, Taking a shit job like that would just make harry's popularity fiizzle into obscurity.

Hansen and Shearer commented that spurs were rock bottom when he took over, and just look at what he's accomplished. Yes, fair comment. But where are these English players so full of talent that are waiting for harry to get the best out of?. They Don't exist.

The England Golden era has gone..

Maybe it's a good way for harry to retire into obscurity. Win nothing and be forgotten Between Tournements. Oh and maybe some shit the press can drag up on him and his family an put him through rather then concentrate on football.

I would love harry to suprise everyone, and see out the highlight of his career at a club that has been waiting for somone like him for decades.

Please stay harry, I really can't stomach a merry go round of managers at spurs again over the next 10 years. And it doesn't bear thinking about which players will walk if he goes.

At this stage in his life any decision Harry makes, can't possibly be based on MONEY!

I really don't think contracts, length or size, mean anything to him now.

The Levy contract thing could make sense and not for any sinister reasons.

IMO its entirely possible that Levy has Harry tied to a contract with an expensive buy out clause. With that in mind, it follows that Levy is comfortable and in no rush because he knows the FA have to appoint someone well before that contract expires.

It makes sense to wait until the end of the season and then both parties will know from what position they are bargaining from. We could be talking about offering a contract to a guy who has just won the FA Cup or the Championship or the Double

Or we could have finished in a CL spot or god forbid 5th. At any club and at almost any time, contract talks almost always take a fair amount of time to complete and you often hear the line about waiting until the end of the season because we're concentrating on the rest of the season and why would Levy (Or Harry for that matter) want focus to be taken away from the rest of the season by this?

And also, if Levy says to Harry, lets talk about a new contract and Harry says lets wait until the end of the season and the press get hold of it, the frenzy steps up several notches.

There's plenty of time to do the contract thing.

I could be proved to be spectacularly wrong but I just don't see Daniel going for Jose. Yes they get on well and they talk.
He would cost an awful lot of money to employ and he always buys the top players and consistently. He also like complete control on players and transfers. For those reasons I see it as a no goer with Daniel.

Well that would be a shame, but an understandable position to take.

I'm resigned to Harry leaving now. Unfortunately you could count the number of decent replacements on Terry Nutkin's right hand.

It's very clear that Harry is desperate to manage England. I don't think he'll leave until the end of the season, but I think if he was offered an ultimatum: take the job now or we'll give it to someone else, he'd definitely take it.

Respect your point but I don't agree
