I've got my reservations regarding FVB, but if he's the No 1 choice, let's go for it. The biggest immediate plus is that his appointment would make Eriksen happy, give us a fighting chance of keeping Vertonghen for another year, and possibly Lloris as a result if the other two.

Just watched this vid, with English commentary of Ajax's win vs Barca in November.

But listen to the commentator from 3.20ish. Genuinely hilarious.:ROFLMAO:

That will not stop his name being linked with several jobs, notably at his former club Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur.

His colleague and former team mate Marc Overmars told Dutch television on Sunday that he was unsure of de Boer's intentions after he passed the legendary Rinus Michels and Louis van Gaal as the coach who had led Ajax to the most league titles.

"He could go, he could stay," Ajax technical director Overmars said.

Well, that's reassuring.

Hahaha.:hilarious:
"Well, go on then, make a dash for it....See if Puyol can keep up with you! Ohhh...Well done my lad! A direct shot from top of the right foot!...."

Brilliant! I wish we had a designated commentator like that for our Spurs.

Now that would be hilarious. It would be worth bringing this guy in just to listen to him attempt to pronounce Chiriches.

People very keen to bring in these foreign coaches because they have done well in their native countries. What do people on here really know about FDB? Some probably a fair bit, but the majority just the name FDB. Sounds cool, was a great player etc.. Except how hard is it to win the dutch league with Ajax? I mean to me thats not that much of a guage. They are the Man Utd (pre Moyes :woot:) of Holland. It would be one hell of a gamble to bring him in. He's only been a coach 3.5 yrs. In the cup final this week they got hammered 5-1 by Zwolle (that famous footballing team:wacky:)
Definately does not have the proven experience even of Ramos, or Santini!

What you want is a coach who as a foreign national and with a side that had never won the dutch league and put together on a shoestring won the league! That would be the kind of manager we want.

De Boer considering Tottenham
Tuesday 29 Apr 2014, 16:18 (Update: 29-04-14, 16:19)

Frank de Boer NOS / ANP
There is a serious chance that Frank de Boer, Ajax is leaving. The successful coach is considering a move to Tottenham Hotspur. "The English have been reported with Marc Overmars., I'm going after the last league think about this possibility on May 3," De Boer said in an interview with the NIS. "I'm going to talk and listen. Speak Then I let my feelings."

Tottenham is a club that matches the ambitions of De Boer. "I want to add something to a club. Fact that people can say that they see the hand of Frank de Boer. Liverpool is a good example of this. That which Brendan Rodgers example, there is now doing. Monaco means nothing to me. Has been a club arrived . "

Tottenham volunteered three weeks ago at the Amsterdam club management after Louis van Gaal was canceled because of his negotiations with Manchester United.

The London club sacked earlier this year, the Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas after disappointing performances. The current manager, Tim Sherwood, not doing much better. The Spurs are in sixth place. The behind leaders Liverpool is fourteen points.

Frank de Boer was in the last three and a half years, four times in a row champion with Ajax. Play the former Ajax players Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen. At Tottenham

One good thing about FDB is that he seems so professional and quite interested in building things it seems, which is what we need.

But we have to see if a lot of that is because of his ties to Ajax. Not that he would be unprofessional for us, it's just he will be so quickly linked with Barca if we do well it's a bit scary.
