Australian squad named for the first 2 tests. A couple of surprises.
Steve Smith, David Warner, Cameron Bancroft, Usman Khawaja, Peter Handscomb, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, Jackson Bird, Chadd Sayers
Matt Renshaw the notable omission. Not surprised at all. Has looked terrible in the first three Shield games. Bancroft will open with Warner. He is coming off a double century in his last match so in great form. Tim Paine gets the nod with the gloves. @Spurs_Bear I had completely forgotten about him! The selectors hadn't!
A bit like the turkey looking forward to Christmas, I can hardly wait for The Ashes to start and I fully intend to be up all night Thursday morning with copious amounts of tea many time re-plenished (isn't the facility to pause live-TV a God send these days...)
Any other cricket obsessed loonies out there looking forward to a series of all nighters?

Yeah I'll be up, it'll be interesting to watch BT's coverage and compare it to Sky, who are (IMO) really good and have commentators who know the game very well and they get it across in an interesting g and entertaining manner. IIRC BT got Swann, who bores me rigid (and who I think is an utter **** for the way he quit) and Pietersen who has the charisma of a turd floating in a swimming pool so I'm not holding out much hope. Pontin is OK though.A bit like the turkey looking forward to Christmas, I can hardly wait for The Ashes to start and I fully intend to be up all night Thursday morning with copious amounts of tea many time re-plenished (isn't the facility to pause live-TV a God send these days...)

I personally thought Swann was the same! For a skinny little bald-headed scrote, Nathan Lyon sure has got a big fucking mouth.
Rarely do you get guys this eminently punchable.

Depends what side of the world your from.
Nathan really didn't need to stir the pot the way he did though. Proof will be in the pudding in less than 48 hours.
Gloating has never happened over there though has it.............Just some very personal attacks and big words coming from a bloke who looks like he weighs about 6 and a half stone!
I’m sure the Aussies will win the tour but the thought of him gloating about it sticks in the neck.
