So is POTL just saying that the rumour that a Crouch to Liverpool deal has now been squashed? If so then he's not saying the deal won't still happen, only that it isn't immanent.

Judging by Harry's comments on the OS, then Gio seems to have a good chance of having an impact this season.

I like the idea of a few lads going to the same club, worked well when there was a few at Yeovil, if we can get a couple of clubs to take three academy players each, think it can only benefit us, eaiser for our staff to keep tabs on, less likely for players to be homesick,dont know why its not done more often.

Big shame about Townsend, I'd have liked to have seen something of him this season!

With Bale, Kranjcar, Modric, Gio, and Rose able to play LM, its much better for him to get a season in League One. He'll learn so many new curse words under Peter Reid too.

Bit surprised about Townsend. After he was withdrawn from the U19s (admittedly after Bentley got injured, but withdrawn all the same) and went with us to Portugal, I thought he'd have a role to play this season. Not saying it's a bad thing, just that, of all the youngsters, I thought he'd be the most likely to be given the chance to make the step up this year. I wonder what will happen with Parrett?

The club contact the forums, its the same on COYS

it doesn't mean they are bullshitting, but it cuts out the ones that are. This is the way its done over a few Spurs Forums and noone has ever had a problem with it.

True, but equally there has to be some sort of sense check for ITK's from this site, otherwise we'll be innundated with a whole load of bollocks. Mods have sat on information passed to them in the past, rather than publish it as ITK as it could've damaged the club.

Besides, I've met a lot of mods/RRs and they would struggle to get a job stacking shelves at Sainsburys, let alone have links with the club.

Anyway, back to the ITK.

I can't see why we can't just make up our own minds what we do and do not believe. Old enough and ugly enough and all that! If a Mod can back up a poster's ITK then great, but if he can't because the poster doesn't want to disclose the source, then surely you guys can leave it out there for us to decide whether to believe it or not.

Just to counter my whining and b*tching....generally you guys do a great job and it is much appreciated. Cheers :beer: Love the round up A&C and keep up the top whoring Scutch/Biz etc.

I think Gio and Danny Rose will be the youngsters looking to make the grade this season. We can only afford to throw a couple in without sacrificing the quality of our squad.

The name of the source would be helpful, even if it's not someone known as a household name. Additionally the context in which the info was given - ie how it presented itself so there can be gravity painted to the circumstances. IE A player's wife known to you bumps in to you occasionally down the gym and is free with info given in a casual conversation.
We can't check it obviously, but it has credence and you could present your info either directly in to the thread with the backing of a RR or via the Goat if you wish to keep a low profile for both you and the source.
