He is in a year if he's not good enough. It also depends what "Ange wants him" actually means. Does he want him like Conte wanted Spence, has he had to compromise and settled for him or does he want him because he sees him improving the starting 11? There's many more definitions of wants him.

We shouldn't be signing player just to shift other deadwood. I'm not suggesting we are but others have suggested we should.

It means he is on the list of players that we will buy a player from and that list was discussed and agreed with Postecoglu. The list isn't a player for each different position it is a selection of players for each position all of whom are OK with Postecoglu.
