probably not loving the wages innit
With Winks, Lo Celso and Ndombele hopefully out, doubt we will have much problem with wages

If it is Eriksen coming in alongside Spence that is 2 key positions we need addressed and 2 of our 4 signings homegrown.

Eriksen, Spence, Perisic, Forster - all for 20m
&
sold CCV for 6m+4m addons....

Levy should be loving Conte.... ;)
Need to be giving Levy some credit here. I was super critical of him this time last year, but leopards apparently do change their spots.

I know I've said numerous times he's taken a back seat, but that is a backseat in picking the targets. He had and has been busting a gut to get what Conte wants. The cynic in me says he's doing it because he has no choice.

The romantic in me says he's doing it because this was his vision from the outset. Stadium, training ground, coach, then team.

Only part of this that isn't up for debate is that for whatever reason he's backing Conte and FP to the hilt and that should be applauded.

As always it's likely a mixture of the two.

He always said Poch had us ahead of schedule to be fair.

I thought he was just there to 'sign off on the cheques' and that FP was doing all the negotiations etc.

Trix already said he was leading the Eriksen negotiations with the blessing of everyone else because of the relationships he holds with the relevant parties.

That's just good business. Have had similar situations in my job - you pass things across to the person best able to get the project/deal over the line

Great news. Its so fucking refreshing to see potential players that will uplift the starting team rather than just squad players. In addition its not like we put all our eggs in one basket like Ndombele.

Love that we’re having a recreational group moan about the costs involved with signing 4 players for a combined £20m.

Beautiful scenes.

Net £14m….that means FP has min £136m to spend. Maybe more like £180m + if we get berg and glc out the door

£60m bastoni, £70m Martinez and £30m mckennie

I can't see us stopping there either- it's so early
The end of the window is going to be mental with clubs needing to sell and bargains being offered around (FP will be dealing up to the end of the window).

It's too early to call this a great window- it is a great start, but we have a lot of players to move on- CCV is a good start now for the more difficult NDom, Winks, GLC et al.

Eriksen along with Spence and Perisic would be a great start to the window. But save the calls of genius for now.
Yup...... nothing to really get excited about free transfers get done the quickest. It's just a start..... we need some quality beyond Perisic& Eriksen and proper planning to compete for trophies AND future proof our squad.

Basically it's a decent start to the window.... let's see Paratici do his thing and build a great squad in the coming 2 months until the window closes.
