Come on guys (and girls), this thread has been crap with the incessant moaning the last couple of weeks and it's getting to the point where I, and probably a lot of others, want to stop coming here to read the thread.

The Mods are trying to treat everyone fairly but they are obviously getting fucked off now, so let's try to keep this place the best ITK thread on the interweb and not get it shut down constantly.

On the face of it, 4m for Lennon sounds just about decent but then Hull got 8m for Chester who was also in the last year of his contract.

£4m would be absolutely fine. Any club looking to sign him, knows he doesn't even have a shirt number. We can hardly play hardball!

A few weeks ago we were arguing because we wanted £8m and Everton only wanted to pay £6m!

Prices go down as the deadline draws near. Everyone knows Lennon isn't part of the manager's plans and as he only has a year left, any decent negotiator would wait until the last weeks to make a low offer. Perhaps this is the difference between Chester and Lennon. Chester was actually wanted at Hull/

I didn't post it Mr Stoof because I read the rules - I only mentioned a bit of said tweet...

The stupidity shown here is astonishing. A bit of twitter. A bit!

Lennon for £4m is ok. It's not a great deal but not a rubbish one either. As said above, with him clearly on his way out, we have very little bargaining power. He's clearly coming to the downward trajectory of his career but could do a job for a mid-table side lacking pace on the right wing.

I still would value a fired up Lennon at more than 4m. I guess the question is whether we would ever see that again, especially given the fact that there is clearly an issue between Poch and him.

Sad to see it end like this. At one point he really could have ended up a bit of a legend.

How long has Lennon left on his contract?

4 million is surely taking the piss in today's market. I think around 7-8 sounded about right.

Although I guess they know we don't intend to use him at all, so that's weakened our bargaining position.
