But hammering them all or being constantly negative on a forum about anything and everything Spurs related does? (n)
If someone sees my Honesty as negativity that's their choice. People just get angry when they hear things they don't want too about Spurs. If we start winning games and acting like a cohesive, full flowing unit for a decent run of games, you'll quickly see my negative outlook disappear... oh and if we sign a bloody Central Midfielder.

Can we stop this conversation though please? I'd really, really like to not be banned for drifting off topic. This is the last of it. No more replies about me please. Last time I checked I didn't play for Spurs.

What he said was hardly that bad. Lots of players, particularly defenders, who cant run get labelled as donkeys. I bet most on here have used the term to describe Mertesacker and others for example, maybe even disastrous defenders from our past.

Lets face it, he's slow, even slower on the turn and has terrible distribution. As I've said before, if he was playing for a lower level team in the PL or a team that defends deep then I don't think he would be a bad player and I reckon he would do quite well. However whoever signed him thinking that he was suitable for a team playing high up the pitch, holding a high line and wanting centre backs to play out from the back should really be hauled in front of the fans and made to explain their reasoning and then be promptly dismissed.

Hopefully the ITK is correct anyway, purely because 5 centre backs is too many.

Just stating that a player we are looking to sell is not good enough?

Sorry, what is the question?

I read your previous post: "I'm very quick to praise a player/the team when they deserve it." as " I love a knee jerk reaction".

Having Mike on ignore makes this website great again. Thank you to whoever designed that as a feature.

yeah, it is more fun than I thought it would be. People saying random things that don't make sense and just generally bemoaning the fact that they are reading things Mike says

Poch doesn't rate him

Poch seems to like his ball playing centre backs, and while Faz definitely has leading qualities (strength, aerial prowess ala Dawson), ball playing is not one of these facets he has in his locker. He would be superb for the right team (Sevilla!). Perhaps part of the conversations with Lyon to aid N'jie - as attacking options appear to be Poch's priority judging by press comments

Edit - sorry you weren't referring to Fazio BUT my Fazio comments are still relevant to the chat / ITK! (y)

Five CBs always seemed like too many for me, but JJ indicated that was the plan. I am hoping this is an indication that Wimmer is further along than they originally thought making Fazio expendable.

Please stop calling mikee negative he is just being honest, he is a miserable sod, honest!
Hope Fazio gets himself a good move and that previous talk about him as a makeweight to West Brom is wrong, he don't deserve that.

I like Fazio and think he is a good player. Completely wrong for the system Poch wants to play though. Complete waste of time to sign him when it was obvious from his prior play that he could not play the role that Poch wants.

Fully expect him to do well wherever he goes next.

I like Fazio - he's a solid defender and a good organiser

But 5 senior CBs is excessive.

More cash towards the stadium balance sheet cup or perhaps Nigel/Berahino/Bender fund

fyp.

dont know why we were not able to sniff toby out from athleti last summer, save all the faffin with fazio... his links to jan would surely have made this possible then.

Because we didn't have Mitchell then. He signed for Saints, smashed it. Mitchell comes here and brings in Toby. Coincidence?

Meanwhile Saints bring in Caulker on Loan... Life without Mitchell

He come across as a likeable monobrowed Spaniard but as other posters have alluded he is surplus to requirements. I'm still pmsl with this gem from Stoof

"beyond the realms of my considerable understanding."

My understanding is bordering on the retard end of the spectrum

Can we give the whole Mike bashing a rest, please? Not only is it quite boring, some of the stuff he gets is quite distasteful. What's worse is that some people are not replying directly to challenge his opinion but just mocking him. He's a spurs fan. One of us. Who has never been abusive to anyone on here.

Spurrific gave you a disagree :hilarious:.
To be frank I think Mike probably still gets the stick mainly for the "I have sauces at the club"-gate coupled with a trademarked brand of posts.
But you are naturally right, it's enough now.

I think Fazio would get game time if he wanted to stay. I have pictured him as vital in "my" EL dream. But I'm sure he wants to be considered a given starter, and is motivated to look elsewhere.

Not unhappy with that piece of ITK.
Admittedly I thought one of our better spells was around Xmas with him and Vertonghen in tandem, but ultimately the emergence of Dier and the arrival of Alderweireld has pushed him down to pecking order.
Seems wasteful to have someone like that as 5th choice, waste of wages for us, waste of time for him. If he's instigated a move to get more game time, fair play.
I'd rather we didn't shop for another option, just give the opportunity to Velkjovic to step up as squad player, as it seems the possible Leeds loan is faltering anyhow.

Hadn't thought about of like that, but agree, Fazio leaving would suggest Dier is imminently moving back to defence.

Verts and Toby will be our centre defence partnership permanent imho unless one of them gets injured, i don't think we should get excited yet about Dier being taken out of DM
