Im confuddled by the lack of concern on this site that Harry may be leaving.
Ive been a spurs fan for 20 odd years and this is the most competitive team weve had in that period.
Playing the best football weve played in decades.
Other sides now take us seriously and the stability has been good for us

Like it or not Harry Redknapp has been the manager during this period, so he is due the dredit.
People will say levy should get the credit , but from where im sitting, the good times started when Harry rocked up.
H has been a success here. Some of you don't know when you've got it good.
Shame on you all and shame on Levy if true.
Completely agree and it'll be a massive massive mistake if Redknapp goes and will set us back 10 years.

It'll be an even bigger mistake to stick with a lame duck as manager!

No disrespect to Harry, just the current situation he is in.

I agree.

'But what have the romans done for us lately' springs to mind. Alot of people can't seem to get past the fact they don't like Harry as a person. It's immaterial, I'm not going on a date with him. If he gets the results, which Harry has clearly done, I don't care if he's Genghis Khan.

I'd be pissed if I was selling to us, all agreed, hands shook and was just waiting for the fax to come thru... Then a day passed with no fax- id think that's weird but might be a prob... When a week passes I'd think it's a joke but when it's 3 weeks id think forget that

Adie asked to be banned so will be. If he wasn't so over the top he'd probably still be around.

The ironic thing is that he was almost right, we've known for a while that Arry's future was very much in doubt but also that Levy wasn't ready to pull the trigger.
It was hardly a nostradamus prediction to say Harry will be off when it has been highly touted on here for some time (actually long before the season even ended ITK was suggesting it)

So anyone could do what Adie did and make up some bullshit he just took a gamble on the timescale and did his usual "bet my bollocks" stuff to add emphasis and credibility to his statement (credibility he surely used up after the Lukaku incident)

Can we take this to the Harry thread, there are lots of people who will agree / disagree with you all there.

Relative merits of Harry have been discussed on here for days.

Further more, whats with all the rumours about signing and selling players ??

Surely if Harry is on his way out then Levy needs to get a new man in and let HIM decide which players he wants in his side?

the press will totally hammer us if we let the guy who took us from 2 points in 8 games to 4th,5th & 4th on the bounce, i was upset the way, 2 seasons running, we run out of steam at the business end of the season, but 20 years of the last 10 games not meaning anything to suddenly CL and having important matches right up to the e/o the season equates to the best Spurs team since Hoddle & Ardiles. the press will batter us and the new guy will be under pressure right from the get go. Spurs fans eh? never a dull fucking moment

Fucks given = Zero.

As JJ's pointed out there's a big difference to agreeing that he will be gone over the weekend to saying that he's staying.

Playing devils advocate here but is what Harry has achieved that groundbreaking?

He has the best squad I have seen since I have been a spurs fan ( Keith Burkinshaw was our manager) and he has only moved us up 1 place (Martin Jol got us 2 lots of 5th) so is there not a case for saying Harry has only done what he is meant to do as opposed to being the greatest thing since sliced bread?

I am a Harry neutral btw

Opinion, not fact. He's done rather more than 'turn things around', hasn't he? In fact, unless you're at least my age you won't be able to remember three better league seasons.
If I was your age I'd be happy to remember to wipe my arse:whistle:

Indeed but if you had that info you should never put a deadline on it or make it sound like a fact as it will blow up in your face sooner or later

Reading through all this over the last couple of days, I think people need to lighten up there is a difference between being ITK and being God

The season ended weeks ago. Why does everything at spurs take so long? They either want the manager or they don't.

I agree its the best squad since "Burks" but Harry has built this side. How many of them came in since Harry took over? Half the 1st team ?

Its pretty hard to find a manager that is able to "do what he is meant to do" as we have seen for the last 20 odd years.

Plus i think it is ground breaking for us ...4th 5th 4th...
champions lge footy , beating the european champions , knocking out AC milan
when have we done that before in living memory?

So Levy is ready to pull the trigger and has been given the go ahead from the higher ups?

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that we've passed the grieving stage. When the England story broke I, like most fans, was gutted, I was genuinely upset but as time went on and it became clear that Harry wanted to go we began to think the unthinkable and guess what? The unthinkable was thinkable; basically we moved on knowing that Harry had already done so in his own mind. Had Harry said I'm not leaving I care about the future stability of this club we'd all have accepted that and would therefore be more shocked now, but he didn't, he had no intention of staying given the option to go so maybe people feel that we need to seek stability elsewhere.
Stay or go H won't be here much longer anyway so if the club believes it has an alternative for the long term then who can blame them if they feel now is the right time.
