I think we've reached a stalemate in negotiations (both incoming and outgoing), hence the ITK silence. Clubs are now waiting for the other parties to cave. As it gets nearer the deadline, I hope we see a lot more activity as people start to lower their demands. This is where Levy operates best.

It would be nice just once to go into the season with a settled first 11 that have gelled in pre season and not doing last day bargain deals, seems we do it every frigging year!

I think the lack of ITK is a reflection of the sensitivity of the current situation with our transfers. The last few bits we got from JJ were far more tentative than normal and he gave the impression that he wasn't overly comfortable sharing info at this time.

I think we just need to sit tight and see how it goes. We have a perfectly capable squad as it stands and whilst we'd like to have MM, MS, J-Rod and Yedlin on board, we don't desperately need them right now.

I'd expect us to announce Yedlin before the wknd based on Sounders coach comments, everything else will depend on outgoings and will run to end of the window.

I'm new but what about a thread to discuss general transfer stuff? Maybe the ITK thread could then discuss...ITK?

I would start a thread in Spurs Chat regarding the first one as its encompassing so many players. The second one you've done the right thing, it should be in the Wickham thread in General football.

Thanks. Why can't we just have a continuous thread about transfers in the Transfer section? I get confused enough jumping from one section to the other. Nobody wants to talk about Wickham in the General section.

This has just proved to be the best way to do things, Mods have experimented plenty before and this seems to be the best overall way.

Fucked up squad? Eh... ? What? Because we don't have a Southampton player in that we have our eye on we suddenly have a "fucked up" squad.

We have cover in all positions. This squad is a lot of things... it's certainly not fucked up. Southampton's squad, that's fucked up. Ours needs, at best, some strengthening, some minor tweaks.

I should imagine that's because nobody gives the tiniest shit about Connor wickham and not because it's in general football.

I don't want a section to discuss other club's ITK or other club's transfer dealings. i just think a thread to discuss Spurs transfers in the Transfers section would be a good idea.
I rarely go to the other sections and to me there are too many and it is confusing. But if nobody wants this thread-so be it.

Oh, it would be lovely to go into the season with a gelled squad. Which is what we are doing. But if you want additions to said squad you'll have to wait like everyone else....
