I don't want a section to discuss other club's ITK or other club's transfer dealings. i just think a thread to discuss Spurs transfers in the Transfers section would be a good idea.
I rarely go to the other sections and to me there are too many and it is confusing. But if nobody wants this thread-so be it.
This Forum has threads for players linked both ways. (The player threads) Players coming in and players going out. If we were to add a thread such as you suggest, who would post what? And where? Confusion would reign supreme.

Your needs are catered for, except your sexual ones you dirty little sods. Catered for because we've been doing this for donkeys years and have it sussed and catered for because our love for you all is immense.

Is Ben still giving ITK or is his stuff more opinion nowadays?

Pretty ballsy of him to make the simple statement 'won't happen'...

Yesterday his comment caused much gnashing of teeth and wailing amongst those willing to believe the worst of the club and its transfer policy. Equally people added salt to Bens info and some aspersions where cast to his validity as an ITK these days.Others made tree gags. Thread deteriorated horrifically.

Personally I think it was opinion but a 50/50 shot if it doesnt happen he could claim a ressurgence in his ITK stock if it does happen no real change for him

Am I the only one around here that will be quite frustrated if we don't make at least one transfer complete by the start of the season? I mean we have been linked with everyone and their mum since the window opened and we have had deals "agreed in principle" for weeks now. Can Levy just please make a bloody signing!!! Or will I have to hop on Football Manager and do it myself for the satisfaction? :banghead:

Even if we signed someone before the season started, there is pretty much zero chance they'd walk into the team. Poch plays to a well drilled system, he's not going to throw some newbie into it and have them disrupt what's been worked on for the last 6 weeks.

Also, there isn't a single club that hasn't been linked to an absurd amount of players. We're not a special case.

We've already signed 3 players.

I see it slightly differently to be honest.

If the manager is happy with his squad, then we'll have had a decent pre-season together with plenty of time before the season starts.

After last years over spend on players, it didn't start or finish too well (wasn't terrible either going by points haul), but my point being we'll be much more settled as anyone new coming in will take a few weeks to get used to club and teammates.

A positive!

looks like there is an information embargo at Spurs ATM IMHO.

But

See N'Zonzi's name being muted. Interesting, always looked quite proficient in his midfield role. Its probably only paper talk and he is not a lot different from what we already have ie Bentaleb and Capoue.

We need a Dembele who does not shit himself when he has to run into the opposition penalty area. A cork I hear you say.

Agreed, it wouldn't surprise me that if we signed anyone now they wouldn't start in the team before the international break.

Last year was a net spend on players. Not an 'over spend'. Perhaps the fault was in bringing in too many players of not high enough quality. The Club seems to have a policy of bringing in mid to low-priced players in the hope that their value increases so that they can be sold on at a profit. The problem with that is a good deal of salary money is allocated to players who sit on the bench - or do not even make the squad.

It would be nice to see the Club focus on quality - not quantity.
