Marcus Edwards is what? 15-16? Most kids grow at least a few centimetres more at that age so he could well end up at 170 something and he seems to have a fair bit of acceleration as well. It's too early to judge the physical attributes and talent a kid who's in the middle of his teen years.

Exactly, I was as short as Edwards, didn't grow until I was 18 but shot up to 5'11. So judging someone physically at 15/16 is pointless.

Edwards is 165; Messi 170 and has insane speed, strength and dribbling ability for his size; Maradona I will give you but different era and current data suggests he'd be about 170-171 if he'd been born at roughly the same time as Edwards; Hazard and Aguero are 173.

I get what you're both saying, but all of these other names are faster than this kid, and have more of an edge to their game. I hope he keeps improving because he'll be very close to the shortest PL player on record if he makes it (and remains that height). It's a physical league and while I don't expect him to be finishing corners, there'll be days when he could be shut out of a contest if he needs to be making slow mazy runs to maintain possession.

A bigger body means a little more weight on his frame to break contact from close checking and make a run or win the ball.

At 16 I was 5ft6-5ft8 max, by 21 I was 6ft2, so growth at that age is varying.
