I remain very pessimistic about us signing Ozil, although it's a good sign we are going after players of his calibre. Man Utd or Real M will be his eventual destination imo.

There has always been a bone of contention regarding the policing of this thread I intended to send a PM to the RR's asking that discussion be allowed to take whatever course it naturally took and we be more relaxed when policing it, but it never got sent due to my senility, being busy with work or being a complete knobhead. As for Dzeko, given he wants to go to Italy and Juve are doing a deal with Wolfsburg for Diego, then it's pretty obvious what will happen there.

That would be a decent window IMO.

However we wouldn't need to spend all our budget on either Fab or Ozil, given that both players are in their last years of contract.

Shame about Young, i thought we'd have a decent chance there.

Seems like O'Neil may have walked cause he wanted to spend the Milner cash on his own choice and Lerner told him he had to have Ireland in exchange...:shrug:

I think for us to get Young he is going to have push for it himself. Not too hopeful.....and yeah I know its Krulak, my fingers just don't do what my brain tells them.

One of the very, very few bits of ITK I've had came from one of my nephews, who was working in Croatia earlier this summer and actually met Dzeko in a bar/club there. According to him, Dzeko's set on Milan—and I'm pretty sure that's been mentioned by other sources.

Juve aren't that attractive a proposition this season, surely?

Agreed, Diego would have been nice, even if he is a headcase.

Dzeko has wanted Milan for over a year now. Once they sell Huntelaar (possibly to us) they'll get their man imo.

Hopefully City will just give in on Bellamy and sell him to us after todays game. If he's not good enough for them, why would they care where he goes?

Those 2 for me are our most likely signings.

I agree. But who is that player?! There aren't many out there and even less of them want to sign for us.

I think if we're in the bag for the CL group draw then those names do become much more realistic.

They'll moan cause this isnt ITK but I hope one of them signs. Crouch was bloody terrible today, Keane came on and ran round like a headless chicken. Defoe and Pav were ok, atleast having a go but overall our stikeforce really let us down.
