So Harry now wants to sell Modric, the very same player that he moaned about for the last few months that we had to keep, Doesn't surprise me, And guess which one will come out of this smelling of roses, Guess which one will come out of this with a major backlash from the fans. I feel sorry for Levy right now, Any chance we could get Ancelotti in before this coming thursday or does he have one of those Chelsea no compete clauses for a year?

DP, Your theory is becoming more apparent everyday my friend

I think what Harry is doing is putting pressure on DL to get the deals done. He's leaking the info about Luka as he understands Luka's situation as we havent signed anyone and obvioulsy arent showing him our ambition. I'd think he doesnt want to sell him, but understands him for our lack of ambition.

It sounds like the pressure is getting to Harry if i'm honest. He doesn't want to sell Luka all summer and then when it is too late to get a replacement in, oh lets sell him.

I went on holiday for a week was hoping to come back and see that a nice new striker or two had been delivered in a shiny box, how depressing to find that we haven't even managed to sell anyone let alone sign anyone.

I've got to ask what on earth is going on at the Lane and now I see ITK saying Redknapp is willing to let Modric go? There is ITK suggesting that its turning into Team Levy vs Team Harry? Really not good times at the moment....

Still we've been through all this before I'm sure it will all be alright in the end

Makes the Hearts game interesting, though. If Modric plays, he's cup-tied for both Europa and CL, but 'Arry says he's our only fit CM.

Well he'll have to play then won't he Eek

Would Chelski buy a cup-tied Modric, though? And if 'Arry DOES want to sell him, would he risk leaving him out? Does he really want to get through to the group stage, anyway?

Completely conflicting itk again, so levy has a clone in Portugal whilst he remains in the uk and redknapp also has a clone that wants to sell modric when he has said all along he doesn't want to sell our best players

tbh i've yet to see a post from mystery come to fruition that backs up the itk status, archie and roger morgan on the other hand have proved this is the past..imo

Precisely this.

I truly believe that whilst Redknapp has done a good job for Spurs, he is now out of his depth with the world class players we now have and should be trying to sign. IMHO he showed this last year with VDV. He really didn't seem to know what to do to accommodate him.

I think Redknapp came in at a time when we were really struggling, lets not forget we were bottom of the leauge. He has done an amazing job at Spurs. He took us into the CL for the first time in our history and we had a great run at it. Obviously we were dissapointed that we didnt make it back in the top four last season but lets not forget the sort of money that other teams have spent both on transfers and wages, its not Harrys fault we can't compete fianancially with the big spenders. I feel we should all be supporting Harry as he derserves it after the job he has done for us.

That means that Crouch, Palacios and whoever else Stoke want from us can't play either, as they too would be cup tied for Europe. If Fulham come in for one of ours, that would be the same.

We might as well not bother to turn up.

of course Redknapp would sell Modric, he can see what effect its having on the team, no doubt about it a player who doesn't want to be there no matter 'how professional' they are it'll grate on the players who DO want to be there.

Redknapp knows this, so knows he should be sold or it'll effect the team badly.

but we all know TEAM LEVY will spin this and make Redknapp look bad.

in fact part of me hope's Redknapp does walk/gets sacked just to see spurs fail.

Can I draw your attention a month or so ago to what Mr Redknapp had to say about this whole Modric to Chelsea fiasco.

He said on live television that the Chairman has said he won't be sold, if the chairman goes back on his word and does sell him then his word will mean nothing, If that isn't an attack on Levy then I don't know what is, So why now all of a sudden does Harry want to sell the player hay.

Europa is slightly different, though, isn't it? CL is huge for Chelski, they want to win it. Stoke would probably be happy to drop out of Europa.

But, surely, we should all be supporting Levy, too, as he deserves it after the job he has done for us:shrug:

I suspect this is a little bit of internal posturing that won't really mean very much in a few weeks, but because we all get to hear about it nowadays, straight away, via ITK, it seems like a monumental occurrence. As someone suggested above, for instance, maybies Redknapp just wants to put a bit of pressure on Levy to sort deals out - and once that is done, their normal relationship resumes.

You should have added that Harry, did not know when or was not strong enough to take VDV off or bench him when he was not playinf well.

This forum is like an emotional rollercoaster.

Very close, looking, Deal, no deal, deal, dream on.

Diarra, Llorente, Vucinic, Samba etc.

Take it with a mountain of salt or not, there's too much drama

When I look in the mirror, I often see Norman Bates.

Oh dear Harry - if true of course. The thing that sits most uncomfortably with me is that he know Levy has made a statement he cant back track on really. Harry might not be here this time next year, Levy will be.

There is only one man who will be making this decision and rightly so.

No he shouldn't have added that because it's got precisely fuck all to do with ITK.

And this is how this thread gets dragged so far off topic that it takers several sat navs, a homing pigeon and Christopher Columbus to get it back on track again.

Wishing you where still on holiday I bet

I don't really believe Harry wants to sell Modric, there is no sense in that at all. Redknapp junior should also keep his nose out as apparently saying £35mil would get 3 top class players is rubbish, it would only get 1.

Christ, everybody knows if we were to sell Modric now after that statement by Levy it would make him look stupid.

Redknapp wouldn't make that statment if he was sure that Levy would stick to his word.
