Like someone said earlier, imagine if Ade did the running celebration in the NLD. Would be the best footballing moment ever.

Also, 3 gunners... Bentley too, I think he'll still be here at preseason (and there's a good chance next season)

Modric "Your mother sucks cocks in Hell, Karras, you faithless slime"

Roman "huh"

Modric "Lick me, Lick me"

Roman "What"

Modric"Do you know what she did, your ****ing daughter?"

Roman " Maybe 22 is a bit offensive if he can do this shit aswell"

i have a feeling this story was taken from sc itk earlier & that chelsea will say they have made no bid for modric tomoz...

22m just doesnt ring true for them, they dont faff about & harry has already said 20m is a joke for modric so are we assuming they value him at just 2m more?...nah

they wont have bid imo, lets see!

There's not many better around than a motivated Adebayor, I think he's the type of player that would excel in Harry's happy camp mentality. Some Spurs fans would be against it(like they were with Gallas) but would soon start to love him. I don't think we'll get him though ..

Aye, Adebayor on his day can be quality, and would offer something different than our other strikers/striking targets linked recently.

If he did the running celebration in the NLD, I think me and my brother would be over the moon!, the amount of grief we gave to Le'Arse fans after that was epic

Parker did a good job of grabbing games by the scruff of the neck this season didnt he.

/

If parker started with wilson in our game at the san siro we would have conceded at least 2 goals. I have seen him chase players like flys round shit, without getting anywhere near them, multiple times this season.

Then he will get one or two challenges in that will get noticed and the MOTD idiots will have you believe he dominated the midfield.

Parker grabs games by the scruff of the neck, you might not believe that, but a lot of folk do.
But "we would have conceded 2 at the San Siro if Parker started2 - that's just an insubstantiated claim that has no validity whatsoever. Er, we would have sscored nione goals against United at OT if we had Carlton Cole.
And isn't "chasing players like flies (sic.) around (sic.) shit just a euphemism for closing down, and isn't that a good thing - it isn't his fault the players in his team were so shite they couldn't capitalize in his hard work, is it:shrug:

Yes he did. He just suffered from having a load of cack playing around him. You seem to be confusing a team's performance with the performances of one player. The two can, and often are, very different.

As for your Milan example you're probably right. With Parker instead of Palacios we'd have been a bit more attacking and maybe more open.

However arguably you could say that in the home leg we needed someone exactly like Parker to get into Milan and stop them dictating the game which they did for most of the match.

With Sandro, Modric and Parker we have three very different players, all capable of playing with eachother. I don't really see how people can't see that.

And this.

Not trying to stir the pot, because I dont believe Luka will leave this summer.

But there are direct quotes from this too that i'm going to find.

He had just signed a 10 year extension at Zagreb the season before he left, he said he did so to show loyalty and to make sure the club got the most for when he left which he said was inevitable.

He could have done the exact same thing with us, signing a 6 year contract to show loyalty but to also let the club get the highest amount for him when he was going to leave.

They were in the interviews most of us have read - I interpreted it that Zagreb were prepared to sell him, and he knew that at some stage he would be sold to a club in a much better league, so he signed that contract to give them the guarantee that he wouldn't do anything like a ScumBall. Just my interpretation.
He is at a club in a much better league now, he is also aware that he has plenty of good years ahead of him, that we are slowly closing the gap at the top, and (from what he has said) something of the plans of Daniel Levy. Folk need to go back and read the stories of Levy, Modder's agent and the Chairman of Dinamo going for dinner in Zagreb and then walking along the river bank together. This is a club that Levy has forged one of his 'relationships' with, revitalising the area - and all of these things mean a lot to Modric.
Does it mean, absolutely, that he won't want to leave - no, and I have no way of proving he will still be here in September. But it should at least be counted in any analysis.

i think we should respond with an audacious 10m joint bid for torres and drogba.

:hump:

Levy will be extremely aware of the ramifications of selling Modric, and no realistic fee will be able to compensate for the wider implications of all this.

Unless Modric demands the move and Chelsea or whoever offer an insane amount of money which would be 50 million plus I cant see it.

Levy has said that no approaches will be entertained for our players, now I'm sure the proviso will be unless circumstances force him to re-evalute as such and that would involve a transfer request from Modric - probably.

As CB pointed out though, and this is the only question mark surrounding this...did he sign his recent contract with a feeling he could be leaving this summer?... and signed this new contract with the board aware of his intentions and hence an agreemet between him and Levy to sign a new contract to obtain top dollar?

I dont buy it personally.

Exactly.

Maybe just maybe Luka likes it at spurs. He likes the way we play and the players he plays with. Maybe he likes the challenge that we face to break back into the top 4, become a regular there and challenge for the title. Maybe he likes our fans and our manager and doesn't want to leave for another club.

 +1
Not every player is a greedy, granny/brotha's wife shagging <CENSOR EVASION>

Levy is ready to report Chelsea to the FA for tapping up Luka... we have clearly stated at least three times now since the last day of the season that he is not for sale at any price

I have said it so many times, already - Levy felt like he had a very good case against Red Nose over BerbaGit, and that the FA bent over for penetration from the dodgy alky beetroot faced <CENSOR EVASION> anyone who doesn't believe he has prepared his ground very carefully, and is up for Battler Royale 3 Armageedonof all Defcon battles is, IMHO, very naive.

Plus you only have to look at the Chelsea and United squads to see they're full of ban words. He's just got married, has at least one Croatian mate alongside him, and has plenty of time to go elsewhere if hre really feels he needs to.

Maybe I'm just monumentally naive but I'm pretty relaxed about whether or not Modric will be here for next season. I'm positive he will be.

THIS

Am I looking into this too much?

Yes

Levy should put in a £22.50 bid for Abramovic's wife and then piss on her tits. For a laugh.

Some people on here are idiots, some people are not.

(That's the way I get round it, right Rob?)

Can we all just calm down a bit? Really? I mean all the official channels have said Luka is staying. Going further, a bid received isn't a bid accepted.

And for all you moany old "playing the victim" style posters please could leave your computers, walk to the kitchen, go to the fridge and get a can of man-the-fuck-up from the middle shelf.

Thanks.

Adebayor is exactly what we need! Him up top with vdv playing off of him gives me hope!!!

In regards to Modric, football is an unpredicatable game so for every opinion there is a previous example to back it up! It gets boring!.....the only thing we know is he won't be sold for 22m!

Except as I posted earlier, Harry beleives that ultimately Luka will be sold. Maybe he is looking for replacements. Not my thoughts entirely, just passed on what I was told. Harry was preparing for life after Modric!

But Ryan, to your knowledge, does Harry believe he will be sold this summer or is it just a general feeling so to speak?

But wasn't he quoted as saying that he would resign if Luka was sold? So why would he preparing for life post-Modric?

It's a bid with the sole purpose of unsettling the player, unfortunately this tactic has a history of working - it's basically tapping up via the media.
