Well Poch just said this

"I am happy with the squad we have - we have quality to fight in different competitions. Maybe the people or you (the media) are concerned but I am happy with the squad we have. If we are to improve we have to add the right player, but if we can't find the right player then we will not buy anyone."
Lets hope we get N'Jie fit soon

The boss had spoken, he will use players from the academy.... We might unearth a Rooney.

That just sounds like lip service to me.
'I'm happy with what I have', so if we don't sign anyone, there's no distribution. However, he leaves in the caveat of 'if we are to improve, we have find the right player', so not ruling out a signing either.

For what it's worth, if this latest Berahino ITK is true, I'm pretty sure that rules us out. There are other teams prepared to pay more than we are because they are desperate. If the management, and by that I mean Pochettino, not Levy, don't feel he's worth going all in for, so be it. Time for the scouts to earn their money, they've known since the last window we need a striker, and going into this window with the same one option, is negligent. Can't see that being the case.

I literally do not get the latest ITK at all, if indeed that is our position. It sounds like we're not convinced, but are only interested if West Brom panic and we can get him for a lot less.

I thought the days of indecisiveness were over. We either want the player or we don't. If we have doubts we should move on even if they are prepared to accept less near the end of the window.

If we really do want him, and no doubts are there, we should be do everything we can to get this deal done.

Its the not sure sort of vibe I don't like and the longer the window rumbles on the more you have to think its the not sure vibe that is where we're at - dependent on them panicking come the last hours of the window and we decide to risk it on the basis that we're getting him a good bit cheaper.

I don't think that West Brom will panic anyway but I really hope that's not the way we're intending to play this - with no other viable targets lined up.

If Kane gets injured and we bring no one else in it will cost us. Now he might not get injured but that is one hell of a gamble to take - and given the nature of the Premier League this season it would be incredibly hard to swallow if it did happen and we didn't have a decent back up option.
