There is a distinct difference between the club a kid supported and who a professional footballer supports. Almost never does a kid end up at their boyhood club. And there is never lost sleep about it. And every pro supports the team they are playing for. To think otherwise is silly. It's not just wages, but pride. Remember Scholes didn't even do his last year with Oldham.

So let's not say such crass things as Defoe is a scum fan. He may have supported them when he was a schoolboy, but he's come to Spurs twice. They are not his team now.

I never seen an appolagy, if this is true and his agent hasn't spoken out then that gives me a smidgen of hope that he doesn't want to leave.

I think we all need to prepare for the worst though.

Don't know who we start against but i guarantee we play Fulham on Boxing Day and 4 out of our 5 last games will be against Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
