'Apples and pairs' is cockney rhyming, so we must be buying a pair from a London club.

I would be very surprised if the 'pairs' does not relate to Wilson and Crouch going to Stoke. I know an ITK said that Crouch doesn't want to go there but if it a choice of playing regular football or sitting on our bench and ruining his England chances I would be surprised if he doesn't leave.
I really don't see the problem with starting Kaboul and Dawson - that should be our primary CB partnership anyway unless King is fit.
Bassong on the bench, Corluka or Hudd can cover if necessary.
I really don't want to waste funds/wages/squad numbers on another CB.
Blue is Adebayor, mate.Lets face it, like Blue and Yellow, it could be whatever you want it to be..
So I'm going for Kaka and Hulk
Pairs = Falcoa & Hulk !!
Think i'm going to wet meself

Agree but I suspect what we see is Bassong out and a replacement in, my guess would be Bassong plus cash to Bolton with Cahill coming the other way.
This is what I don't get. Kaboul would be blocked from the first team by virtue of the fact we are paying 15m for Cahill so he will play next to Dawson who can't be dropped as he is captain. Why not just play Kaboul and use Bassong as backup??
