What happened to the itk about woodgate being released...

It's about as ITK as you can get, given that he was on the official Premier League list of released players announced yesterday.

May not necessarily mean that he doesn't take up a pay as you play deal with us though if he proves his fitness but unless he's in the squad of 25 (and i can't see anyone taking a chance of leaving ourselves short if he gets crocked again), it seems very unlikely.

We really need to sign some real top top player to show our ambition to players like Modric. I think if he doesn't leave us this coming season then definitely will leave us next season if we don't make top 4 and win something.
I believe with the right signings we can make top 4 and even challenge this season. We are not far and need to shrewdly invest.
I personally don't believe that some of the players linked with us are the right ones to take us further.
We need to reshuffle our forwards and need a 15-20 goals per season striker.
Let's hope Leandro and other non PL players linked to us settle quick if we buy them.
It looks like the Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and definitely Man City will invest loads of money to upgrade their squad. Man U is the first with their top signings.

Charlie Adam's not a bad player, but we've got better.

We need to put the Modric leaving thing to bed. Make Chelsea and Man Utd move on to other targets. Concentrate on getting our own targets in. Guess it'll be Scott Parker and maybe Leandro.

That might be the start of a reasonable summer if we can bring in another two strikers and ship out our "deadwood" for want of a better word.

If there is a dearth of ITK, as there has been for several days over the last couple of weeks, are you expecting us to ignore the "story" around us selling one of our world class players in this thread?

There was a list yesterday of all the players who are out of contract this summer (not who have been released).

The ITK is that we are still negotiating a new, reduced wage, deal with him.

In addition to what PT says, you weren't around when this thread used to regularly get clogged up by all sorts of random chat which resulted in half the site complaining that they couldn't follow what was actually ITK and what wasn't and the other half complaining that the thread was over moderated. And that's without actual ITK being posted and missed in the hurly burly.

These days we take a much more relaxed view on all that and allow the conversation to pretty much flow as it will but every now and then, when we think there's good reason, we ask people to rein it in and go to the appropriate place.

Personally I don't think there is any interest in Adam. Think leaks of interest in Adam, along with tabloid talk about Diarra is all designed to force West Ham's hand to deal at a sensible price

I fail to see why the Adam & Parker deals would be exclusive, they are completely different players. Parker is a box-box CM player whereas Adam is an AM.

Adam may be decent backup. He scores goals. 1 in 3 last year. If its one thing we need its goals. None of ourcms can score

Blackpool's best chance of getting back into the cash cow that is the prem league is with Charlie Adam in their team.

Really hope we crack on with some signings, with that many important games at the start of the season we need a decent pre season. Going to be a pain in the ass if we sign people on the 1st September again, since they'll not only miss the first 3 games but will probably take another few games to fit it.
