disappointed with that cabaye news! if we could get him for anything around 10m we should be all over it

sometimes levy needs to bite the bullet more over re-sale value when the player in question will clearly improve the first 11 massively straight away like parker a few years ago

In regards to the Trippier deal, I have spoken to somebody who is close to Kyle Walkers family. Probably not too much of a big deal, but they blame Spurs for his long absence.
By all accounts our medical team kept pushing on treatment and rehab on one injury, refusing to delve any deeper. Consequently when that didnt work, they then discovered an injury which could have been repaired months previously.

I wonder how much of a strain that has put on him and us.

I wouldn't expect his family to say anything different. Our fitness record last season (from what i remember) was one of the best in many a year this despite a grueling pre-season and twice a day training sessions from Poch. There is another underlying reason fro Yedlin and now apparently Tripper being brought in and i don't think it's all about a niggling injury or two to be honest.

Agree.... we have a huge amount of games to play so need cover for all areas.

When we signed Ben Davies, Rose pulled up his socks, sorted out his attitude and upped his game a few notches.

Hope the Trippier signing has a similar effect on Walker. Still think he's a very talented player that has just lost his way a bit.

They do have regular MRIs. But I guess if you're not looking for a specific problem you won't find any abnormalities.

Really? Why expose them to unnecessary radiation? Or by regular do you just mean like twice or year and only of course it they have persistent injuries?

Isn't this the same thing that happened with Lamela and his broken back? Very concerning re: our medical staff and treatments philosophy if so..

jasper with a tiny bit on yedlin: Season loan no good. 3-4 months ok. Apparently we will take a very good look during pre-season before we decide. He will also be tried RM.

I meant regularly for injuries mate. I didn't mean put them in there for fun :) . Anyway it's best we stick to ITK talk.

We're actually sending our new signings for Trials at Real Madrid now?

Gotta love the partnership :D

Considering our penchant for inverted wingers, having Yedlin coming off the bench in a more advanced role might be the best way to implement him in the side and give the opposition something to think about on the outside.

I think Klinsmann pointed Poch in the right direction on this. After Yedlin's last two games for the US a bit obvious to try him in a Spurs shirt on the right. Pace in abundance and though only in friendlies Yedlin made Bind look fucking stupid. I can see nothing but a bright future for this kid not dissimilar to Bentaleb and Mason if given a run in the first team.

You never know, Rose didn't cut it in midfield and has made left back his natural place to play and we might just see a similar reversal in Yedlin if Poch thinks Tripper and Walker can fill in between them at right back?

I hope he has a good pre-season as I seem to be the only one who thinks we have a potential very good player here. I also like the idea of trying him RM.

Dembele is a player of Spurs old, the kind Sir Alex Ferguson made the 'lads it's Spurs' comment about. All neat and tidy good on the ball, but ultimately frail. Lacks the killer instinct to take the necessary step. Since Poch has come in we are killing that weak personality we used to have. He wants to make us ruthless which is something we have never been. Something which has been our downfall for years. If Dembele isn't wanted it's a sign we are changing, not enough to look good with style and no substance. I love Dembele but it seems like it's time to part ways unless he can somehow change.

Very disappointing, but not surprising. As I previously said, we can't make a profit out of him so we're not interested.

Better than anyone we have or have been linked to and available with lesser teams than us interested. Watch him tear it up for West Ham etc next season.

Still, I look forward to another underwhelming midfield signing to sit on the bench and keep Stambouli company.
Wages is something to consider as well when it comes to Cabaye.
