The way I see it is , the squad is stronger, but the first 11 is definitely weaker than last year ... for AVB to get 72 points is fantastic given this and that Sandro/Kaboul have been out most of the season

Getting these two back into the fist XI will be like 2 new quality signings in itself, and if we can potentially bring 2 or 3 new faces in addition (that are upgrades in what we already have) then I really do fancy us next season.

I'm also intrigued at the possibility of a technical director (looking increasingly like Baldini), perhaps this will make our transfer policy a little more efficient- hence the noises about early business being done?

Agreed.

Having Kaboul and Sadro back will be huge.

Those two are without doubt will be the core of our team.

Core... Lloris-Kaboul/Vert-Sandro-Bale-New striker = Frickin Beastly.

Agreed, having Kabs and Sandro back will be amazing. i really hope that we bring in decent cover for Sandro this window. What we have is not good enough for the DM role. Losing Sandro was in hindsight a very big blow to our campaign this year.

I hope Bale's new contract is made official a mere couple of hours after that is released, effectively taking a huge shit on their hot garbage of a story.

that's not the cynic in you, it's the escaped escapee from the lunatic asylum.

Levy paid more wages than he needed to, for an entire season..? You can see why I'm finding that tough to swallow, right?

But there are numerous examples or levy paying upfront (the wages of extending jenas, Bentley others.. Contracts ) hoping for jam tomorrow.

Didn't work, but maybe the logic was good...?

But can see very little business sense. So why wouldn't levy pay to get even more jam tomorrow? (And by so doing 'hedge' the money he's already spent on wages?)

Please Spurs Official just confirm the Bale contract signing so these little scummy reporting dirty rats can leave us in peace.

And then hopefully we can have what looks like a quite interesting next few months ahead.

@jetsetyid: Hard to ask but a question?
If you weren't spurs & just a football fan would you think that the time for Bale is to play at the top is now?

If it is already signed and done, would there be any benefits to not confirming it right now?

Might be a little bit slower and mite be abit more injury prone tbh.
It's prob going to take him a good part of next season to get back to anywhere near the quality he was before and maybe he never will. I am not at all surprised about those rumers at a new Center back this summer. Sandro is another worry but he is younger the Kab so should be fine... Still take him a while. Kab s 27, that's quite old to be getting such a major injury and not suffer any permanent damage.
