Don't get me wrong i'm all for the Kim Jong il approach, just not when it comes to ITK...

You got me there Shiznit, I have no idea what you mean, who or what is Kim Jong il and does he play as a central midfielder?

Honestly, everybody needs to take three seconds away from knee-jerking and think about all of this horse-shit. If Levy and Harry were at odds such as are being presented, Harry would be out of a job. Levy wouldn't need to wait for an England offer that will never come or a jail sentence that is just as unlikely. He would just fire him and be done with it. Two years salary at most wouldn't be that big a deal. Obviously he has something for Harry because he's still here. It's like people forgot how many times Levy has fired people, and managers much more popular than Harry. So stop this argument and take all the noise with a bucket load of salt. There's something not quite kosher about it.

Look I never post but surely the Modric discussion has been done to death! Let's accept that he will be going, either today, end of the month, January.......

We have our first game tonight so lets try and be put a marker down for potential ITK signings!

Or next year but this is about this transfer window and sadly someone posted its being announced today, some people still actually to think he's going this window.

:bang: I was much happier yesterdy, so I'm going back there. Bollox to all this Harry v Levy shit.

It all looks good, we are clearly making progress regarding transfers, Adebeyor is all but signed along with Diarra and we are all talking about Modric going to Chelsea again. I despair.

This is based on some info I received about a couple of weeks ago. It's what I have always maintained, unless that is I amtold otherwise, but Levy has not changed his stance. There is however definite tension between camps which is obvious.

Now form my opinion not based on info - I think the only way Levy will change his stance is if his statement becomes untennable because of Harry continuing to run his mouth off to the press, thus forcing his hand. If Harry keeps his mouth shut like most other top managers would in this situation I would have had every bit of confidnece that Modric would still be here come September 1st. In addition I think Harry is unsettling Modric further by his continuous utterances to the press. I really don't what he's playing at.

Let me state I never wanted Harry when he came in, but thought neverthelesss he was needed to get us out of the trouble we were in. However, his stellar performances over the last few seasons had revered my opinion on him and made me do a 180. But now, his conduct in this transfer window has completely swayed me back to my original position unfortunately, a full 360.

You mean, why was your post deleted twice that contained something from the Guardian about a player we have a thread for?

Now let me think ...

Why? Probably because there's a whole thread devoted to Harry's musing in Spurs Chat.

Tag teamed.

No point arguing that it was a relevent post following the latest ITK then? Thought not.

What people need to realise is IF we decided to sell Luka to the chavs then the deal wouldn't be sorted out in 24hrs. This is Levy they would be dealing with. He would squeeze every last penny out of them and it would be all over the press and the ITKs would let us know what is happening.

Therefore Goughmeister has some dud contacts IMO

You may be right—but then the deal may have been sorted out over several weeks, Levy might have squeezed every last penny out of them, and the press may have been kept out of the loop.

You have a touching faith in ITKs.

Goughmeister on Coys saying he's been told from within Chelsea they're announcing Modric signing today.

if true, harry should be ousted from the club, he seems to be happy letting modric go, and why should he care he is off, he doesnt have the best interts of the club at all. levy should hire some heavies to take out modrics if all contract are signed with chelsea.

apolgies if harsh - but thats how im feeling at the moment - also the worst thing ever to be introduced into modern day football is the transfer window!

So on a scale of 1-10 how reliable would we say Goughmeister is?

That's not the same as how reliable the person is giving him information.

I'd happily buy the man a pint.

And I don't even buy jimbo or TSH a pint, and I've sat next to them for 5 years.

If he's the same Goughmeister who used to post on here then he's a good poster and certainly not a WUM. Haven't seen him post ITK before though so it's hard to say.

You're a hard man to please aren't you? It took escaping relegation and getting into the Champions League for the first time in our history, beating the likes of Arsenal away etc etc for you to move 180 degrees, but then a few meaningless ramblings to the press which have resulted in nothing so far has made you swing straight back the other way

Archibald on SO just said:

"There is zero chance of Levy wanting to sell Luka. He wouldnt have made all the noises and statements to push that point home."

More opinion than fact, but he obviously knows a lot about the situation.
