What if the Daily mail held onto his story for 24hours, what does that tell you? They needed the time to "edit" the "exclusive"... No story new here, move on

Saw this on BBC Sport: Chelsea have increased their bid for Modric to £25m after the midfielder indicated he wanted to move. (The Times)

Are they having a laugh?

So you reckon it's bending the conversation cos it's the only story out there and that senior reporters on the Mail are Chelsea fans...hummm does kinda make you think how well spurs are doing if it's causing a shit storm over in Chelsea and Manchester...!

I doubt we will take £35m, and whats the odds on The Daily Racsist talking to the guy who was on SSN that everyone thought was Lukas agent?? Then they can deny any wrongdoing saying it was the information passed on??

If the story is false then we should sue them for £35, as its the difference between what we might take for him and the price they are making him worth.

Daily mail editor is a Chelsea season ticket holder, remember the stories they used to run about gerrad to chelsea, Torres to Chelsea etc etc.
One player left the other didn't, gerrard was loved Torres was not which one left, draw your own conclusions... Modders is loved he's staying

not trying to knock ITK but how can the players know some of these things like Spurs will accept £35m for Modric?

In this scenario we need to learn from arsenal and fabregas and refuse to sell. Come out and say we value the player at £50m and if they won't meet it tell them to do one.

i think if modric would be sold it will be no less than 40m. if henderson is worth 20m and carroll 35m, modric is worth 45m. and if torres is worth 50m with the last 2 seasons he played very poor i think we should demand 45m+ for modric cause he is on a long contract.

May-be Modders was told that amount when he signed his new contract and mentioned it to some of the other players .

Maybe they do the same as we do and have a guess. Maybe Levy told Modric what the magic number is and he's mentioned it to some of the others. Maybe this and maybe that, could be anything, but always remember rule No1.

Anyone remember what that is? :)

I really do feel that we will force him to stay..

I know that he wants to leave but at the end of the day the prick has 5 years left on his contract and is not really in a position to start forcing a move.

Rooney wanted a move and tevez also, we must not budge and then go out and sign two top top quality players and then challenge ourselves, he,ll soon change his view.

At the end of the day Chelsea are,nt a bigger club than us but they have a slightly better side, we are not worlds apart in terms of quality we just need to add to that forward line. This is different to berb and carrick as they wanted to move to utd not fucking chelsea, utd is the biggest club in the world steeped in history and they have 75000 seater stadium, so it is understandable that a player would want that but chelsea come on.

He wants to go there because he feels that they are a better side so this may finally be the kick up the arse that we need in terms of bringing in top players added to our very good squad that will make the difference and make us a side that can actually challenge not pretend like redknapp was doing early in the season by saying "don,t rule us out" but actually fooking challenge.

Time to do what utd are doing by setting thier stall out early, identifying targets and not tinkering about trying to save £250,000 or so and just getting deals done for the players they need before they slip away. Do you ever see utd fucking about on transfer deadline NO because it is unprofessional and fucking desperate in my opinion, its cost us in the last two windows and it may end up costing us our best players as they are obviously interpreting it as a lack of ambition so you can,t really blame luka for this episode.

Make him stay and break our transfer record END OF.
