You don't appreciate what you've got until you don't have it anymore.

Rob appreciate you taking up the challenge, A&C hope you manage to forgive community.

Hopefully we now all read, digest and follow the rules.

Let the ITK come in, know @Trix said had some but didn't share as there was nowhere to post it. We are poorer as a result.

You what ?
He's referring to the rule not to ask ITKs questions. But run right, it would be really illuminating, and if you wanted to set one up with Rob or A&C, you could pre-screen the questions and answer the ones that wouldn't out your source.

Maybe for a different thread then sounds like to much hassle . Going back to topic a forward will come in when Bryan departs . List of 6/7 players adama Is back on the list as well as many others mentioned in the press I’m not sure many are gettable from what I know ideally want pl ready . Think the European market is where we likey head to replace.

Yeah, probably right. But if you were ever so inclined, maybe a dedicated thread at the end of the window would be really interesting.

WLB seems very positive about a Gil replacement and that's good. Still no mention of a new CB?
It's building up to being a busy last week for us with incoming as well as outgoings - let's keep this thread open as it's going to be a week of twists and turns.
(Thanks Rob for the last chance- everyone don't blow it as I've missed this thread this week)

Conte was very clear this week, if anyone leaves, there needs to be a replacement, so make sense an AM/WF will probably come in once Gil goes, and most likely CB links will pick back up once Tanganga’s future is resolved. Outgoings still seems key, but I suspect those hanging on, will have more offers on the final week of the window as business always ramps up. Can we see us replacing Winks and Reguillon, or are they already deemed outside the squad (Bissouma and Perisic already in place).

Winks and Reguillon are no where near the squad so I doubt they’re being replaced.

As WLB says it’s gonna be Gil out and a replacement in at this stage imo.

Presumably same applies for Tanganga, per all the reports we’re trying to offload him, that we’ll need a replacement.

Expect things to move shift break and flake from Fri onwards as we close the deadline .

Nothing advanced for Japhet right now there’s discussions but not being offered what we want atm , could change very quickly but it’s been like this for weeks .

Really think it would be best for us and Japhet if we could sort a move. He needs regular football.
Also hope we look into the European market, almost zero value in PL just now and imo not many exciting options.

One week to go and a lot going on. Lots of players being linked and a few more that have not made the media. I'd ignore all the "spurs are interested" headlines right now no matter where they are from, as we have put the feelers out for a lot of players. Especially home grown ones, agents, selling clubs, even people at the club are jumping on them and blowing them out of proportion. If FP likes a player, we've enquired, if AC likes a player we've enquired, if they are being put forward by their agent or one of our scouts and we think they are decent we've enquired, etc etc etc. Zaha, enquiry..... Dan James, enquiry..... Ziyech, enquiry.... Madison, enquiry..... I think you get the point, just because we've asked the question re their availability it certainly doesn't mean we are looking to sign them, because AC doesn't actually want any of them. It costs nothing to ask the question, and knowing the situation allows things to change quickly to best fit the jigsaw.

I have a couple of names we are looking at but even then I'm not convinced they'll go anywhere because FP has a lot of names on his list right now and besides the fact we know one of them needs to be Association trained it'll be a case of how the two we want in best fuse together, both in fit (one of the two HG at least) and also cost.

One thing I'm certain of that I can add is that we are not only looking in this country for the HG option, and have definitely had more than just enquiry contact with one player from overseas and this player has not hit the media yet.

As a closing point it's worth remembering we are not looking to sign the players you lot have watched, we will be signing the players that AC/FP have watched and evaluated. They may well be the same person but very different players.

Now try not to get this shut down ffs.

Cheers Trix, it was lovely getting so much business done early doors but it’s also exciting in the final week that we still have irons in the fire. World Cup year always brings surprises!

May I ask where the best thread/place to speculate about Trix post is?

Discussing the ITK? Maybe the ITK Discussion Thread :p

It really depends on what you mean by "speculation" though. If it's randomly throwing out the names of every single HG player abroad, then maybe it's not a good idea.
