We don't know that though. He may have just got the pay rise he wanted.

I can't see how anything that we did wrong caused this change of heart.

Very disappointing that we didnt get Benteke as things looked so sure. Just have to hope we can get someone else. Imagine Levy may have planned for eventuality this deal wouldn't come off, maybe we can still get someone decent.

Perhaps Benteke signed a contract extension because we pull out and he knows there was no one else in for him. Maybe we pulled out because of the price, or perhaps we have something else/better lined up?
