Thought I'd pass this on even though it's a friend of a friend story.

One of my best mates has a mate at work who's sister apparently works for a company who deal with footballers and their investments. Anyway apparently Barkley was there yesterday sorting his investments and changing his details like place of work, bank details etc to Tottenham.

Passing on in good faith, could be rubbish or a case of Chinese whispers so take with a pinch of salt as always.

Did she chat to his girlfriend? Will she be going full Yosser Hughes in her job search?......

I do like a friend of a friend story. Not least because I like the idea that your friends have friends but they're not your friends. So does that mean your friend hasn't introduced you to his friends because you're a bit of a ****?

I know if shouldn't be but I get all hopeful at this type of itk. Mainly because I knew someone who was having a meal with the wife of someone very close to the Wanyama deal who said to me several weeks before It was confirmed that we were almost there but I was a bit ashamed to post in case of me being made to look a fool lol.

Fingers crossed this does go through. Barkley for me is a definite upgrade on the bench and with the Poch and coaches magical ways he has a bit of potential to get back to his best form on a consistent basis. We, the fans, also need a bit of concrete positivity me thinks.

Yeah there's been too much on RB to us and nothing anywhere else, so I am putting this into the 99% category, allowing for last minute shenannigans, but I think this one is now happening. Whether that is today or not remains to be seen, but thanks to the ITK for keeping us at least informed/entertained! hugs x.

Errr you know Spurs don't pay their staff and players cash in hand (apart from 'Arry of course).....might be worth giving them his bank details if he wants to get his whopping wage!

I imagine the club will have special financial services and arrangements for players, getting them all under one umbrella could be part of the deal. Most clubs use tax incentives etc to maximise players earnings.

Hertyid's latest sounds more par for the course in July anyway, the fucking fax machine won't get switched on until August at the earliest!

Maybe Barkley's lot have probably been faxing all the paperwork and we just don't know yet!

Really missing a trick if we don't invest in improving the squad after two great league finishes. Would take Josh King, but not at £30m. Saw him at the Milk Cup with Manchester United as a kid and he looked like he had something a bit special about him.

Another striker/forward option and a full-back who can play both sides and I'd be happy enough tbh!
