Added to which we will be playing Europa league, Carling cup and FA cup in addition to the League. Given that AVB has said that he wants to win everything we are entered for we will need 2 top strikers. Just having Ade, assuming he does sign, will not be enough. I think we will ned someone like Leandro to be the main striker, initially in the EL, and Carling cup and let him settle in there. Hopefully by the time Ade goes of to the ACN (ANC?) he will be ready for the Premiership.

While I agree we need backup there is no need to worry about Adebayor and the ANC this season. The next ANC will be in 2014. :)

Edit: I am dumb. The next ACN is in 2013.

Don't forget that Man City were 1 minute and an Aguero goal away from finishing second place, they would have wanted a couple more players too. It's never ending!

If this Ade ITK is true and we end up signing him, I wonder if we'll find out any details of his wages compared to the rest of the squad?

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone could help me. For my sons 7th birthday I would like to take him to WHL. Does anyone know if you can buy a mascot experience?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not ITK on this I'm afraid - maybe ask JJ or POTL.

I think we need to be more patient regarding Kane, because I think this year is maybe a year to early for him.
5 goals in 18 games two seasons ago in League 1 for Orient is hardly prolific, but then it's also not bad considering he would only have been 17 at the time playing against grown men, seasoned pro's.
The following season, (last year), 8 goals in 23 games is an improved goals per game ratio despite being a divison higher playing with Millwall.
This shows the progression he is making, and we saw how well the progression was tailored with Kyle Walker, and also Caulker. Let them prove themselves at a level, then move them up to another higher placed club, see how they fare there, challenge them to show they can adapt and improve.
Kane has shown in his two loans to be capable at that level, but I feel he could do with another loan, maybe a top championship side, lets see if he can show some continuous improvement by upping that goal every three games average from last year to one in two maybe. If he can, he is then ready for a crack at the Prem.
Caulker was good at Yeovil, so he was moved up to the Championship, he evolved and improved with the greater challenge, so point proved he was sent to be tested in the Prem, proved his progression was continuing and now finds himself back at Spurs with a new long term deal.
Time to move Kane up a level, see if he can cut it there, but the step up should be a measured and calculated one, making sure he is at the right club with the right manager to nurture his development, not just throw him in at the deep end. Let him build his confidence, a solid prolific loan spell should see him promoted to try the Prem next season, and he'll still be only just 20 at the start of next year.

Madrid Spur on FTL re: Modric and other bits:
Very close now apparently.

We wanted £40m and 5% sell on. Settled for considerably less with dibs on a player, dunno who.

Also

Hulk. Premiership bound but not Chelsea?
Moutinho. Complicated by 3rd party deal

PSG causing many clubs problems as paying big money up front so "small" teams looking to get max whack. Once PSG burned their cash things should move.

Madrid Spur on FTL re: Modric and other bits:

fuck dibs, we're not in primary school ffs. I wonder how much "considerably less" is, but if true then I'm not that pleased. I was hoping to get a shitload for Modric, considering it's Madrid.

whatever the fee is, spurs and their fans will say one thing, Madrid will say another and people like hunter , ballbag and whoever will all have exclusives on what went down. id be more interested in who this player is cos i cant see any madrid sub or otherwise keen on spurs.

I remember all this ACN debate when Kanoute left us to play for Mali in January - whilst we were struggling in the league. I've never fathomed why they can't hold the ACN in the same year, and month, as the European Championships. Would make much more sense. I'm not sure when the African league season is played, but the World Cup, played in the same June month - never seems to be a problem for the African FA.

The worry of Ade leaving for the ACN is a very real worry. Who ever we get in (if we do), has to be able to come in and produce the goods if we're serious about top four, even more so if we're serious about top 3.

Thanks for passing on te information Mardrid Spur but can't imagine why we'd agree to dibs on a player. Or take considerably less than £40m.

Hmmm, Hulk not Chelsea bound yet he was with AVB just the other day, interesting. I get the feeling once Modric is gone we are gonna bag ourselves a big money deal, could it be Hulk....

The ACN can't be in June/July because that is the winter in the Southern hemisphere.
