We need to make sure we get someone in return - they’ve got players who could fill the void, albeit they may not want to come

Not unsurprising this really, but a massive shame
Not sure how we get these players if they don’t want to come ? Isco for instance seems to be making eyes at Man City.

Indeed. If he came up for grabs surely everyone would be in for him, and with higher wages on offer.

God knows how we solve this, he’s pretty much irreplaceable

Regarding Eriksen, I heard for a while now what we are hearing. All the talk I heard was Barca. Couple days ago I was told that Hazard has all agreed with RM. Barca and RM have been told we want more than Coutinho money. I think from what I heard RM would not pay nowhere near that, and want this to drag to the summer, and get more reasonable price for him. But if they get Hazard, I think they will be relaxed.

Isco’s family etc keep in touch with us via obvious means, and no different to how mandated reps keep tabs. There could be something in it. I feel from what I hear it is 60/40 in our favour he signs. But! He would want clauses, and to this point it is loaded in his favour. Let’s see.

If we lost Eriksen, we'd have to go and get a player like Isco to replace him - simply can't afford to downgrade quality in that position, he's absolutely vital to us.

Man City and Liverpool must have pretty big squads, if squad size is an issue fir us it will be for other teams, as wages inflate, less home grown players about squad size will be a problem. Yes yes Chelsea have 40 players on loan but this is going to come back and haunt them if they don’t clear them out, esp if loan rules come in.

Or am I being to optimistic and fincial doping means clubs don’t care.

If Eriksen goes obviously getting Isco would be ideal but I just don't see it happening. I feel like we have come close too many times before. I think Isco will leave but probably to City. It would make a lot of sense for him.

The problem with Isco is that he wouldn't be a replacement for Eriksen. We would need somebody else to replace Eriksen properly
Why wouldn't he be a replacement for Eriksen? They are both versitile AMCs who can also play wide left and in a CM 3. He might not have the fitness Eriksen does but I would hope Poch could sort that out.

They play different styles, Isco doesn't drop in deep to get play ticking like Eriksen does.

But thats usually because he starts further up the pitch as Modric and Kroos do that. On the few occasions he has started in the middle three he has dropped deep. At Malaga he would dictate the play and drift all over the pitch. It's all about what role Poch tasks him with. From an ability point of view I think he could fulfill the Eriksen roll but from a fitness level I'm not so sure he could play in a Poch system.

From an ability point of view I think he could easily fulfill the Eriksen roll but from a fitness level I'm not so sure he could play in a Poch system.

People often fail to realise that Eriksen May be the fittest player at the club and finding players with the mixture of skill, invention, vision, hard work and stamina is not easy to replicate. Sure given time Poch can work on fitness but that we know takes a year or two.

Isco is nowhere near Eriksen when it comes to playmaking qualities. He's more like Lucas, and even Lamela. Isco would be a good player for our attacking three, but cannot replace the quality lost with Eriksen.

Nothing will replace Eriksen, not for a few seasons while whoever it is is learning and progressing. His absence will leave a huge hole in the squad and we’ll have to change our style
