It's accumlative though isn't it? He may not need a rest how but he may by the end of our busy Feb, except then the games might be more important and harder to rest him for.
If at any point Kane needs resting he will be. If Poch was worried about accumulation of games he would be rested. We are undefeated during the four games Kane has been rested and have a goal difference of +5 from those games. This back-up striker 'problem' is so over dramatic.

You've made a cogent argument based on statistics and you're totally right....

Get Out!

I must admit I find it hard to believe there isn't a player out there that fits the requirements of what we are looking for. We should be able to rest Kane against the likes of Colchester and it's disappointing we can't. I think generally we have a good squad but the lack of back up is a weakness.

Not just that but Kane played his best when he had to fight Ade and Soldado for a start. We could do with keeping him on his toes a little.

Everyone would like a striker but this re-writing of Saturdays match to fit your agenda has to stop - Kane didn't play because we had no options - both Chadli and Son have could have easily as started and they have in other cup matches. He played because Poch felt he was fit enough and maybe he actually wanted to play. Messi plays pretty much every match for Barcelona, not because they don't have sufficient back-up but because he loves playing football.

We aren't now, but we may be if we get injuries. We are going for the title ffs, we won't come out the window stronger will we

Every club in the world might be in a bad situation if they get injuries FFS. That's such a daft argument.

"Yes Man City have quite a few players but if somebody kidnaps the entire team and takes them to Mogadishu they will look very weak indeed."

FFS!

He's not a back up striker is he. He's playing in the first 11. A back up striker sits on the bench and plays when Kane is injured. Not one that can play there if needed

And you're saying that is easy to find?!

COME TO SPURS! YOU WON'T PLAY BUT IT'LL BE FUN ANYWAY!!!!

Wait till five to eleven mate, it's gonna be epic.

You could have son Chadli and Kane starting games together very soon. Who then do you play in FA cup an Europa? Who do you bring on to get a goal late in a game? By playing all 3 you have a much greater chance of an injury to one of them. It's like saying Deeney is back up to Igahlo at Watford. But he isn't because both play at the same time.

So tempting to put you on ignore but I can't resist watching you lose your shit at 11pm.

Yeah but it could happen ?
I have now changed my stance entirely on this window and feel unless we buy an entire squad today we will surely be relegated

Especially a keeper as Hugo may run over Vorm in a rush to get to Alldis before closing as they have a special on onions and break a nail in said accident leaving us with kane in goal and no striker then as well
God I'm so nervous right now I need to poop.

So let's say we sign someone then they get injured in training or on their debut.. We'll be back to square one. It's all ifs and buts and risks. Kane maybe the one who stays fit while the new signing gets injured. Who knows what'll happen today or for the rest of the season.

Oh and a FYI, the deadlines for a few leagues…….

Italy – 22:00 GMT

English Premier League – 23:00 GMT

English Football League – 23:00 GMT

Spain – 23:00 GMT

France – 23:00 GMT

Scotland – Midnight

So make sure you stay up until past midnight just in case Levy makes a cheeky late move up in Scotland for Wigtown & Bladnoch's lethal striker Hamish McDonatetoSC

Thanks for that update

Transfer deadline time = procrastination ceasing.... the real world has a list of 'things to do' stacked about 3 pages deep waiting for me once those times arrive.... fingers crossed there is a signing or it'll be a bitter few days in this household.

I have no idea why you're all arguing over the rights and wrongs, the same points will be made disguised as fresh points, we'll be treated to more examples than a south London rap fan and it all goes around and around like a roundabout until finally, Dylan wanks off Zebedee. The reality is that there are are merits to both arguments but it is what it is. So I suggest we calm down, wait and see what happens (it'll be nothing) and at five past eleven tonight we can all release the pressure by having a bundle :p
