I agree and I'm certainly a strong believer in all Poch is doing and if we don't sign a striker you won't see any posts from me jerking my knee, it would just be nice to not have to worry every time Kane hits the deck.

I'm happy with that but does it include no posts of you jerking anything else ?

If it doesn't I may have to use the ignore feature.

Just out of interest does jerking your knee actually work :wideyed:

To dare is to spend? I'm tired of this argument.

What about daring to trust the players we already have? Daring to trust in youth? Daring to trust Pochettino's judgement?

We are in a position nobody expected - not so much down to how amazing we have been but more to do with the set of circumstances affecting other clubs. We are in with a chance to go for the title, way beyond our dreams. We can dare all of the above and if we fall short because of fatigue and a Kane injury it would be a travesty. This season will not be repeated and we may never have a similar chance for a very long time. I don't want a player for the sake of it, honestly don't.

Two things about Poch and I do love him btw:

1) He's never won anything as a manager
2) History shows his teams tail off towards the end of the season

haven't really been on here for a long time, but its good to see the usual DD meltdowns....i think at the start of this season alot of people including myself were worried about the lack of "back up" in the team the DM situation and the "back up" for Kane being the most talked about but for once im not overly concerned. Of course if Harry gets injured we will all be worried as would any other team losing their star striker but i have faith in this team what Poch has done with Dier to fill that DM area is fantastic saving us the best part of £15-20m and with Son Njie ( when fit ) and Chadli we can cope IF any injuries come our way. this team spirit is different to any other Spurs team ive seen in my lifetime and Poch and his coaches have done an incredible job....to say at the start of the season alot were saying its another transitional season and we would be lucky to be top 7. Don't get me wrong id like to see Berahino come in as he could play as part of a system WF/CF if needed and settle quickly but its not looking likely and apart from him i don't see anybody else who ( for the money ) would add something that the other guys don't already bring.

IMO we could have rested Kane against Colchester and still come away victorious, but MP chose not too, and I would say that Kane probably wated to play too.

Yes there is an argument in getting backup for Kane but to what level?

We sign Berahino, so what games do we rest Kane for? there are no easy games in the PL anymore and we want to win every trophy so what is the point in playing a weakened side just in case?

Also we spend £20m+ for potential backup and he starts upsetting the mood in the squad as he is not playing or is dropped to U21's (Thownsend)

I would like to see a backup striker but I have faith in MP and if he is happy then so am I.
I think Kane played as he had been ill during the week so could do with a run out pre-Norwich. It wasn't his most commanding performance, so expect he was told to keep it at 60%.

I quoted 3 people in that so unsure why you chose to speak about Messi? How about Suarez who's also known for his workrate?

You did dude and if we had three amazing Kane like players in our line up playing up top I could live without a back up.

If Fazio and Veljkovic are sorted, that clears up the whole afternoon and evening to focus on Dembele

Daniel Levy will be giving himself a big pat on the back that we have got through another transfer window with a negative net spend.
