If you look back through my comment history I've been fine with Son as the second striker for a while. He's perfectly good there and I wouldn't trade him for most of the back-up strikers in the league. Come to think of it who has a better back-up striker than Son?

The objections to him remind me of the objections to Dier in midfield. All Son has done when he has played as striker for us is produce goals and assists yet people still doubt him.

I personally disagree. He simply doesn't have the ability to hold up the play and he's much more dangerous coing in from wide areas.

We are in a position nobody expected - not so much down to how amazing we have been but more to do with the set of circumstances affecting other clubs. We are in with a chance to go for the title, way beyond our dreams. We can dare all of the above and if we fall short because of fatigue and a Kane injury it would be a travesty. This season will not be repeated and we may never have a similar chance for a very long time. I don't want a player for the sake of it, honestly don't.

Two things about Poch and I do love him btw:

1) He's never won anything as a manager
2) History shows his teams tail off towards the end of the season

I simply don't believe we're that reliant on Kane. Take away his goals and we'd be a point better off.

We're in this situation because the things we've done so far are working. And we're in this situation because our team spirit is brilliant. Adding another player could well disturb that.

Don't get me wrong, I too would love us to sign a striker who'd shoot us to the title. But those players are rarely available in January.

Sounds like Fulham may have found the body (Labyad on loan from Sporting)....so could that mean that Dembele mk2 arrives today?
