My guess:

We aren't willing to pay more 1.5m more than Southampton (Atletico's price to buyout their purchasing clause) but Alderweireld wants to join us. We have brought up purchasing Suarez to sweeten the deal with Atletico, as he's not needed by them, and could fill a position of need for us.

2 for Europa, 2 for PL, 1 for injury cover? Selling Fazio? Probably too many but with the EL and C1C games we can probably go with 5 until the January TW.

Is that buyout fee effectively the compensation due to Soton mentioned previously?

Someone posted that we are being slack, and if we don't speed up, those four will sign the players we're trying to get.
I just said it makes no difference if they signed players now or in 8 week's time, as we can't buy the quality of player they can. Our targets are not their targets.

i agree with that, my only problem is that we were suppose to have business done early for the preseason so we dont have to deal with DL deals on deadline day so poch has a set squad to prepare for the season with. We have done nothing in that aspect aside from sign two defenders who arent even automatic first teamers. So i do think time is of the essence and if we arent looking at players that all those clubs want, then it should be no problem to get because we should have little competition in signing them.
