Been thinking about the chat on here regarding Harry and today being an important day. If true, it sounds to me that DL may have given him some kind of ultimatum giving him till today to decide. Perhaps DL wants to introduce a DoF above him or perhaps told him he is not getting an extended contract however he expects him to be fully focussed on the club for the remaining year of his contract unlike the last 4 months of last season. Then DL has told H that if he is not happy with this he would expect his resignation leaving him plenty of time before the new season to get a new manager in. Perhaps?

How many times does JJ have to say that Levy does not want a Director of F**king Football???

I posted yesterday afternoon that I was tipped of Harry was 'as good as' gone, and that a new man had been lined up, terms agreed and just waiting on putting to pen to paper should Harry go.
What are the chances of Harry staying? I would say slim, but to use one of his own phrases 'its not impossible'.

Who knows what today will bring. But I'd be fairly certain we'd have a new man in place within 48 hours.

PS. I also advised yesterday that I had backed Harry at 4-1 to be next Chelsea boss and AVB at 10-1 to be next Spurs boss. Those are based on opinion alone and probably unlikely.

I think Harry is on his way up the A3 right now talking to his agent on the phone asking how they're going to play it in today's meeting.

I think his agent will be more focused on trying to get him moved on to another club (Chelsea, UAE?) where as Harry will want to give off the impression to Levy, that he loves the club a lot and wants to drive it forward and hence wants a new contract.

Some news journalist on talksport backed Harry a few months ago to be Chelsea boss at 12/1. He thought it could come in.

Was that this morning? I thought he said something like 33-1 he got it at?

H could well stay and all this talk will look silly. But I dont doubt there has been some sort of chat with Chelsea. Might have been a very good appointment for them pre champions league win. But to appoint him as Manager of the new European Champions? That would be comical.

some bookmakers closed the book on harry to be next england manager. from looking at the odds of bookmakers i have seen that Martinez, lambert, Klopp & van gaal have all been favourite for the liverpool job...

my dad played golf in April with some dude who was high up at chelsea and he mentioned that they were talking to harrold.

In all honesty I could see AVB being our next manager.

I really, really could.

Yes it was this morning. I thought it was that high, but trying to recall it, I thought, NEVER!

Uh once more for us blind folk who clearly missed that, ooops. Thought he would be interested in the DoF model again if the right people were available, my bad.

Last rumours floating around here were Martinez... and also like you think maybe AVB. I dunno, not overly sure on either.

As for today being a BIG day named early and Messi... think a Messi is signing day would be labelled "hell has officially frozen over and the pigs are flying over North London day".

Not dismissing anyone's theories here, but, it can't be Martinez if Levy wants DoF as that is what he rejected the Scouse job for.

If Harry goes (and I still think it's a big if) then AVB is starting to look like one of the only real candidates. If we are looking for a new manager in the near future the field isn't exactly wide (is that the right phrase? Can fields be wide?)

Um, think you need to re-read RJ's post and see my response again to see that the whole point was that DL apparently DOESN'T want the DoF model and thus Martinez or AVB would be possible.
