It'll be interesting to see how much money Spurs have spent or made on transfers in this window once the dust settles. It'll be particularly enlightening to see how we compare with other Premier League clubs. Last season only Burnley spent less than Spurs.

I'm hoping that Ben's info is incorrect and that JJ and Trix, who have been so positive in terms of incomings, will win the day.

Time will tell. But history has a way of repeating itself and I imagine that we'll hear the following words when the next window opens:

"Lessons have been learned..."

Tbf ade would probably put some effort in this season with a new contract to play for. Feels like the grown up thing to do...

the big lesson being that we now don't let people know who we are trying to sign, for fear of another Willian.

Sadly a side effect of this is that our fans panic and sulk.

Yeah I'm sure Ade's desperate to get a move somewhere in the PL. He could have moved weeks ago and said no

Final bid for berahino rejected. Ha you couldn't make it up. They were never going to sell him, as the chairmen have told is all along

Movement at the Hawthorns as Lescott leaves.

Now if only we had a solid central defender who isn't getting games who we could offer to them as part of a big deal for Berahino...

You can stop double-checking that we removed the "optimistic" rating now. We did. Sorry.
They already signed Jonny Evans

SSN saying Spurs' 3rd bid for Berahino rejected - and apparently Tony Pulis has 'gone home'!

Latest ITK: cue meltdown.

Less than 2 hours until deadline and nothing is happening. I will no longer have any trust in our chairman or transfer "strategy" if the status quo is maintained.

And Stambouli as well...
but he was never given a real chance with us. We don't see the players in training and have to trust the ones who do. Now having said that ITK has been positive about Levy supporting Poch- we'll find out in the next 2 hours.

Yeah but they also say spurs were willing to spend 23m on a new forward, so whatever spin they put on it now they obviously aren't that content with what they currently have.

Are we seriously to believe that there isn't a single fucking CF in the whole of world football that we could have signed when it became apparent that the Berahinho deal was becoming too difficult.

Berahino deal looks dead. 23 million rejected, even if we bid 25 looks like they'll still reject it.

Surely we have a plan B lined up.

If we don't this place is going to combust.

I want to trust the ITK more than sky sports but you can't help feeling that nothing is going to happen

So to get Ade to move we have to pay up his contract? So we pay his 1yr @ &5m and say on you go to a new contract earning another £5m in the same year. Are the media that effin stupid? Rhetorical question.

At what point have we said it's our final bid?

You don't let a player talk to a club if you're not going to sell him mate, whatever your agenda.
