Completely disagree. Poch developed a list of very attainable targets for a club of our stature. This isn't AVB where he was dead set on us landing 30 million Moutinho and 40 million Hulk, chasing the moon with no realistic chance of getting those guys. Berahino was absolutely attainable and should have been done and dusted. FFS, Poch ended up settling for Fazio and Stambouli last year after two other attainable targets in Schneiderlin and Mussacchio were not landed because we f'd about with the fee.

Premier League clubs will be allowed to go into extra-time tonight to get their deals completed. But what do clubs have to do to be granted an extension?

Well, our chiefs news reporter Bryan Swanson has just been explaining on Sky Sports News HQ that between 4pm and 6pm clubs have to submit a Premier League deal sheet which shows evidence of an imminent transfer including the fee, signatures from club officials and players concerned.

If this is received by the Premier League by 6pm then they will grant a two-hour extension.

So deals could be coming through well into the evening...

Still nothing after the positivity earlier from JJ and Trix. Both are very open to dropping as news as well as good news, they just tell it like it is, no sugar coating. That's why I still feel we must have something ongoing.

Besides, I can't see a failure to get a backup striker as anything other than negligent by those in charge. All the news for weeks now has been about how we know we need a cm and cf and how it is being addressed. Son is not a natural CF, neither is Njie, don't let's keep believing they are the backup striker. A business (Spurs is a business to Levy, not a hobby), is only as good as its product (the team). So not putting together a balanced squad is obviously going to impact on the levels of success, and as such, profit. We have a specifically assembled scouting setup now in place, as they have been since the last window. If they haven't been able to find suitable players for the relevant positions, within the budget given, either they are failing or the budget is unrealistic. Ultimately, success cannot be expected without the relevant investment in the right players for the manager to make it work. If Levy is being too strict with the pennies, then he has to be more relaxed on his demands of what he expects the team to achieve. If he coughs up the cash, results should in theory follow, and he will reap the financial rewards of success. Football is a business where success costs, but also pays out well, and success breeds further success.
As a club, they have had long enough to identify the areas of weakness, and source adequate, achievable signings.

So. There is still time for this to get done. Keep the faith.

My personal belief is its all about Berahino.
I think he is the only player we may or may not sign. Not a complaint or a meltdown, just my current thinking.
