I would rather Pav went over Crouch, He's done his bit for us but he's not going to take us to the next level. Pav cannot play as a lone striker. I know Crouch is painful alot of the time but he does add something different.

Signing Adebayor would make Crouch redundant

Sorry, Kidney-Bean-Head (Diarra).:)

And, yes, I did think you meant Huntelaar.

Keane has gone, if Pav AND Crouch are sold, Adebayor in, we need one other striker, right?

If Defoe, Adebayor and one other are our main strikeforce next season, does that mean Leandro will come in January?

Surely we wont shift Pav and Crouch unless we have two replacements lined up? Adebayor and KJH/Ruiz?

I think Leandro is coming in January.
IMHO, Adebayor, with two young and exciting prospects, would be fine. Leandro is one of them (hopefully). So, I would suspect, someone younger may well come in, and we'd keep Defoe (probably). Adebayor, a younger striker and Defoe until January should be okay.
How old is Ruiz, and is he more likely to end up at Fulham?

It's not considering him for a first team place though, is it? He'd be a back up to the back up for the first choice striker. And even then, he'd only hold that role for four months, until Leandro comes in.

Only reason we played VDV and two up front was because our strikers were too piss poor to play up top alone.

The signing of Adebayor will change that problem.

And we can get Simon Dawkins back in October. He's been playing at MLS level, which must be the equivalent of League 1, if not Champuionship. If Leandro is coming in Jan, we could risk just going with just Adebayor and Defoe. But it IS a risk.

Ruiz is 25/26 I think. Fulham have had a bid rejected apparently of £7.5m

Dawkins has all kinds of injury problems

Agree.

Ideally we'll finish this summer with Adebayor, vdV, Ruiz and Pav. Then swap Pav for Leandro in January.

That'd be 2 x #9s, 1 x #10 and a 1 x wide forward - perfectly balanced and complementary.

If we can shift Crouch and Pav I'd take Ruiz.

Adebayor, Defoe, Ruiz and then Leandro in January

Oh, and Huntelaar, too

5 forwards for that 1 position sat in front of vdV?

(Actually Ruiz would probably compete with Lennon for a starting spot, but even still).

What, still? I thought he'd been playing recently. Oh well, we'd better keep Pav and 3MP for now, then.
