I think VDV was quoted as saying he can't wait for Adebayor to come in
And Dawson supposedly saying something about Defoe being able to take the competition from Adebayor (but no actual quotes).

Van der Vaart talking about Adebayor being very welcome and top class player
Cheers lads.AngerManagement said:I think VDV was quoted as saying he can't wait for Adebayor to come in.
A wonderful combination of pace, craft and power :hump:VDV, Bale and Lennon supplying Adebayor = hardonsville!!
We will need another attacking winger IMO
Someone like Marin or Afellay or, dare I say it, Farfan
Kranjcar isn't an attacking winger and has no pace. Why do we need a attacking winger? we have Kranjcar, Bale, Rose, Lennon, Townsend, Pienaar.
So it looks like top top traffic lad crouch is staying and that arry would rather sell super pav. That makes sense to me as arry would rather look after his mates first. However those of you who think we will get rid of both are very wide of the mark I think. That would be suicide with amount of time VDV spends injured.

Rose is a LB now, not a winger.
Bale and Lennon are starters, yes.
Towsend is young, but hasn't shown enough at a lower level.
Pienaar is decent, but hasn't got much pace.
We need someone like Ruiz, Farfan who can play out wide and offer a goal threat.
Is vdv itk?

get pav out.... Crouch and defoe as backup to Adebayor and VDV.....now that aint too shabby IMHO...
Will keep up spurs recent traditions of having the strongest roster of forwards in the League...obviously excepting City...

I think it was Greyfox that said when things are really quiet around the club it can actually be a postive thing, can sometimes mean something big is being worked on. Probally not the case here but worth bearing in mind if your the optimistic type!
Imagine pairing him with David PleatMeister as a punditry team mg:
You'd be looking around the studio to see where the bottle of Valium and the line of Charlie are hidden!
