Cahill would be a good addition as he is the No. 9 we all... What do you mean he's a centreback?!

Is this the end for Ledley?

I would love Cahill, a non-injury prone English Centreback with the shot of a striker.

Poor man's Dawson IMO.

Bringing him in for Basssong would leave us worryingly short on pace at the back.

For that reason I'd rather Kaboul was the player used in part-exchange (as suggested in the Bolton News).

Are you serious....? Whatever your views on his defending, one thing he doesn`t lack is pace...

I'm not sure I get the Cahill hype.

He's a beast in the air and fairly no nonsense in his tackling. But that's about it.

He's definitely another in the Dawson, Kaboul, Bassong calibre, rather than a younger King, Woodgate or Gallas.

Add to that comfortable on the ball....

i'm sure bolton will want a lot off money for him,and i would rather spend most off our money on strikers not CB who are probably not even gonna start

From the little I've seen of Cahill he certainly isn't slow.

Seems like alot of money to be spending on a centre back though, even if we do use Bassong as part of the deal (and how often do these part exchanges work?)

I reckon Harry must think Gallas hasn't got alot left in the tank othewise this pursuit for a first team centre back would seem a bit odd.

I suppose if we have Dawson, Kaboul, Cahill and Gallas then we're fairly well covered in that area, and other than Gallas they could be at the club for a long time.

Would be a bit of a kick in the teeth to Kaboul though.

He's not a right back. He made his Les Bleus debut at centre back.
