Once again many thanks for info GF.

Not sure how many fans would have been so eager for Berahino 2 months ago but now many are getting desperate for his arrival which is understandable, especially as on Saturday there was no recognised CF to replace Harry when he came off. What a ludicrous situation for any club let alone a club with our traditions. Fuck me DL you want to haggle and get a few quid off SB meanwhile we are dropping points wholesale, have you considered how much each point is worth?

@Trix - another :banghead::banghead::banghead: for you

Exactly

Levy fucks up we are an injury away from having Chadli as our lone striker or N'Jie who is clearly 'one for the future' , meaning basically we are fucked

Kane gets injured, with the squad we have we would do well to get 10th, Levy is fucking naive if he thinks Chadli/N'Jie could get us 4th or 5th

Hahahaha.

Thanks for the update GF. Really not surprised by it. Déjà vu. Can only imagine what Poch must be thinking. If this goes the wrong way he has been well and truly mugged by Levy.

DAMN YOU LEVY. PAY OVER THE ODDS. PUT THE FUTURE OF THE CLUB AND THE NEW STADIUM PROJECT AT RISK. IT'S ONLY A FEW MILLION.

Chiefs.

Some of you guys need to take a break, get some fresh air or something for God's sake!
Exactly. Grey Fox posts some ITK about targets we knew would be difficult proving so, whilst assuring there is back-ups and and people take it as a cue to rant about Levy. It's not ideal and it does get frustrating but the relentless moaning serves no purpose.

Nothing has really changed and yet some are topping themselves! I really cannot see how any single signing is going to change things hugely.

Surely it is good news that we are aiming high but have secondary options if it doesn't happen?

Either way I'm in the south of France on holiday monitoring all this like a saddo, guess I'll have to crack open another beer!

Berahino is not the messiah, but he is by far the best bet identified by Poch if Kane gets injured (this is Spurs we never get any luck so you can almost guarantee he will do his cruciate the next game after window closes if we sign nobody as back up ), so if £5m extra will turn Pearce's head then so be it, the failure to bring in a striker is too terrifying to imagine

An extra £5m to bring in Berahino will neither bankrupt us or put the stadium at risk

We should get some Leeds fans in here to give their opinion on whether chucking the extra millions needed to sign these players quickly is worth it.
Yep our current situation is exactly the same as Leeds all those years ago. Uncanny. In no way is this a lazy cliché rolled out every other day without any consideration of context.

You can't compare

We are nothing like Leeds, we are cash rich, virtually debt free, paying WBA an extra £5m for Berahino is not going to have the bailiffs moving in on 2/9

Don't worry lads, lessons have been learnt from previous windows. There's no way we're starting this season with just one striker and Dier as CM. In Levy I trust.

Sorry @Drexl I shouldn't have laughed. I was completely unaware that you had audited our accounts this year. My mistake, I thought you were just a stubborn football fan who refuses to listen to anyone explaining the process to you.

Grey Fox said we're going in with another bid so how do you know we aren't putting another few million on top of the bid? Claiming we're gonna end up 10th just because the first bid for Berahino has been rejected is a bit extreme. Wait until the window closes before getting in that sort of state I reckon.

I really hope they're in for the Everton match because I'll be there. Would really be a bad atmosphere if our signings aren't done before Aug 29 (match day).

When I negotiate a price for my penis reduction tablets I always start lower than the asking price.... Simple business.

Stoof No one is asking to pay over the odds, wba reportedly want 25m, we've reportedly offered 18 and are going back with a higher offer. If wba are not willing to come down, we have 2 choices, pay it or walk away and concentrate on other targets. But if we go into the season without a viable option because we were haggling over a difference 2m then questions need to be asked, and that 2m will not put our future or stadium in jeopardy

Poch said it and everyone can see it we NEED a striker that puts us in a poor negotiating position

Harry, when you've finished sticking your fingers in your ears, closing your eyes and bleeting "la la la la" from whichever's orifice has the power of speech today, there's plenty of actual facts to read about our business so far. But as I said, when you're ready.

So you'd be happy if we signed Danny Graham just because it's NOW. It's not just about this season and settling for second best - Stambouli and Fazio say hi. If we don't feel we've exhausted option 1 then there's no need to blink first.

You all need a gin and tonic, and a @Bill_Oddie reacharound.

No-one knows what's going on behind the scenes or how much WBA want or what we've offered.

Getting your nickers in a twist over reports and speculation...why don't you wait until the window closes when all is said and done?
