They were just coached better, whilst we added youth like Kane, and some speculative signings paid off, Alli and Dier.

It's the ITK thread, probably not the best place to talk about the potted histories of our transfer window dealings.

Great ITK from Graham Roberts, cheers Dov. Good to get him in as early as possible to settle him into the team and culture.

Yeah he means last week, which ties in with what Herc and Trix heard.

It’s clear to me that the unexpected Dybala situation has meant we’ve had to review our planned transfers.

I imagine Lo Celso and Sessegnon are all but done, but we are seeing how the Dybala situation unfolds before giving the final go ahead to Sess and GLC.

If Dybala is achievable, finances will need to be moved about/restructured etc. and we would need to revisit Eriksen leaving.

Whilst it’s frustrating that we now have a delay, the potential Dybala prize is worth it IMO

I guess it all depends on what Poch put on his list to Santa if Dybala was top of his list he might be have been told that if they can get that in then he won't be able to get some of the other toys he wanted.

Indeed. If Eriksen still hasn't signed a new contract it's worth the effort to try to sell him now and use those funds for Dybala. It's possible GLC and Sessegnon is all but done and put on hold while Levy is pushing for the aforementioned deal.

Yep. That's how I read it too...past tense

The thing that was meant to happen (GLC) has not happened and grahamroberts is not sure what is happening now.
