Mate don't be a dick I have my own house, wife and kids I am an expert on being broke.

its complete crap of course building a 800m + stadium is going to affect finances, in one way or another, I love ITK but lets not be blinkered and stupid enough to believe it wont affect spending,
Sorry mate. Was meant as tongue in cheek. Don't know you or your life - no offense mate.

My point is that there will be a pretty complex financial separation of the stadium project and the operating costs, and these will be based on the entire picture and will not necessarily affect each other at any static point in time like this transfer window, but of course set our financial situation in certain frames for a number of years.

The 'Tizy' alot are experiencing me in cluded (not as much as others ;) ) but its understable to a certain extent . some more positive info nr the start of window, it was more positive than previous STW but it was only a little more positive... but peoples expectations are elevated to such a magnamious amount but the comparatively slightly more positive info... not itk s fault they pass on ... but its people elevated sensation of us playing champtionship manager back in the day ..

The club have upped the players wages pool although a good chunk of extra goes on kanes alli ericken sons contracts al getting decent uplifts... so we have to be slightly realitic here..

However as it feels like most other windows of us scambling about for whatever .. may not be the case but feels like de ja vu ... we are not the only club feeling this .. chelsea must be big time look at their sitiation ... all we can do is just hope now and pray levy n poch have got this under the one of the most ridiculously sensitive / volatile market conditions in the world..

What i hope for most is we all know transfer plans never go to plan especially in this indursty but can we for for learning from past and having firm hold on alternatives for the positions we want and get them over line ... in past it seems w havent played the plan b /alternates well so this time i pray we can and do ... plus WC has wasted alot the business time too (not talking time)

Christ on a bike, its NOT about fees its about squad numbers. Poch does not want a huge squad and Levy does not want to pay large wages to players for turning up for training who might get on the bench for the odd game.
We have had no bids for those potentially earmarked for leaving as of last night so what do you want the club to do?
I have heard activity and announcements will happen next week, existing contracts and expected movement.
The only offers for our players are loan deals and thats not great when you consider some of their ages.
I'm still optimistic Ducks lined up in a row.
Finally some sense and reason has been brought to this thread. Thanks, GF.

It's obvious to anyone that paid even a modicum of attention to our squad last season that we can't bring any non-HG players in without moving others out first. If we just go ahead and bring in non-HG players on top of what we already have, we're just going to be paying a lot of wages to a lot of unhappy players who aren't registered in various squads. We already had players that weren't registered in Europe last year because of the HG rules and GKN and Janssen have now returned from loan making that even more problematic if we don't have any buyers for these players.

As a result of these issues the mooted signings of Grealish and Zaha make a lot of sense as well.

From Herc's and GF's last info it seems that Levy has got some incomings lined up to push through but he's still trying to find ways to ship out the fringe players first, otherwise we're left with players knocking about on the training pitch, getting paid with no hope of being near the 1st team. It does make sense.

However, it seems to me that sometimes you take a risk on an investment and it doesn't pan out and GKN, Llorente etc are likely to be players that we invested in and they have failed to provide the necessary return either on the pitch and potentially financially. We may just have to cut our losses on that and accept that we can't always have a 0 net spend every window, especially when we're trying to challenge for league titles. Levy has to accept that he (along with our scouts) got it wrong and swallow the loss if we want to progress on the pitch at a (comparitively) minor loss off it.

Equally, the other option is to push forward with our incomings and hope that we can find a buyer for the fringe players after the window shuts for UK but remains open for Europe.

Changing the transfer window in England hasn't helped our cause one bit.
Levy already plays hard, and it's biting him in the arse as foreign clubs have an extra 3 weeks to do deals. It's why prices for players coming into England are getting higher, and why no-one (not just us) can shift players out the door - foreign clubs will happily play the long game, knowing they'll end up getting a bargain once our window is slammed shut.

Taking the last two ITK reports together confirm there is a plan but that this useless until we sell players first. Let's hope we learn and in future don't fill our squad with back up players because we can't get our main targets

I need some washing powder and i dont care what it costs!!!
I don't care if its cheaper down the road, the extra 20 minutes on the line will make all the difference in the long run and more than compensate for the lack of dinner on the table!!

Both Trix and Herc have recently said Grealish is basically done and agreed to. With Villa announcing today that they are close to agreeing to a full sale to Middle East group, you have to wonder if the goalposts will be moved on this transfer too? That would be fitting I guess the way this window has gone so far.

Yes that is possible. The Villa situation is quite ‘unstable’ shall we say.

The issue is we are arriving here 20 days from the end of the window. It's the same story as previous windows. We identify top-rated targets that only become non-options last minute. We are then left to take a punt on an unknown or backup option.

The problem isn't that we missed out on these targets, it's that we've left it so late. Surely we must know our chances to get the players. We hurt ourselves window after window by overestimating our ability to get players instead of getting realistic targets in.

I understand and accept your comments.
But, if a club does not want to sell (to us or another) then they will not.
Take Martial, MU do not want to sell.
They might though if we off £200 million (exaggerated I know)
Will this make everyone happy ?
The World Cup made this window hard as did the changing of the window from Europe.
I would imagine the UK will throw money around up to the closure of the window and Europe will pick up some bargains after.
Just a differing POV. COYS

That's twice in short order that I've had to lock this thread to remove some of the stuff that this thread doesn't tolerate. I've shown a lot of patience with where a lot of chat today has gone because sometimes it's best to let things run and lets be honest, it's fun when you all get a bit irate without me having to give you a nudge :D

But seriously, there are some things we won't put up with so don't make the mistake of thinking for yourselves, it's been proven time after time that you just can't do it.

Saying "I won't post the link but on Twitter it's saying" is EXACTLY like posting the link. Posting images? And some dodgy media links, wether the story is true or not, are all for the player threads and NOT in here. Wise up or you're out on your ear.

I blame myself for being too nice. You ****s.

It's 'whether' by the way.

Love a bit of Foxxy ITK. Spot on. Bit worrying we can't shift the deadwood to upgrade but 1st team is still solid.

I also blame you for being too nice if that's any consolation...

That Llorente info really annoys me. He was an awful signing last summer and the majority of us knew it, it was a stupid decision when supposedly there was interest in January and we rebuffed it and now we’ve pissed away £15m plus whatever the contract was for the season and we’re struggling to get rid? Absolute shambles.

Would love to know if again it was a Poch deal that he pushed through like Sissoko. If yes, leaning towards him not being particularly great with transfers.
