And another point on the 4-5-1 with VDV.

Do we forget that he had 4 months where he did F*** all last season.

Would we all accept a similar dip in form?
yes because he is only human, rooney had a dip in form, nobody is ever going to be sensational all season, by that accounts shall we not play bale too?

it was his first season for us and in english football where he hadnt had a proper pre season, he also picked up a few knocks and even with all that he was still our top scorer and probably one of our very few world class players.

but yeah why not drop him :duh:

Double however long my post was worked on as, with mistakes like that, it was clearly half baked

I just thunk people are getting ahead of themselves with this two first choicers idea. Utd, Barca, Chelsea all are far more attractive clubs to play for (ask Luka) and all play more than on forward anyway. While VDV is around, we play 1. A striker who is good as a starter is not necessarily good as a second fiddle. Vucinic and Adebayor are both leaving their clubs because they want to be número uno. Pav last season showed that he is not only a willing número duo, but an effective one, with 9 goals and 4 assists in the league. Therefore, I for one trust him as número duo to the UNO we sign.

If we can make 2 go into 1 successfully, great, but as long as it's VDV+1 I see that as unlikely. When it was Kanoute +1, Keane wanted out. When OT was Berba + 1, Defoe wanted out. When there is one spot up for grabs, the loser always wants out. Given how fiery both adebayor and Vucinic are by reputation, that could be bad for the dressing room.

If we had Vucebayor, Pav, Defouch and Soulman, I'd be confident for the season ahead.

For what it's worth I agree. I don't think we'll sign Two strikers like Adebayor and Vucinic, and don't think we should. One of them will end up miffed, or VDV will end up banished to right wing again. Pointless.

One of those strikers will do for me. Crouch and Pav as back up. Young african kid as well. Get shot of Defoe and Kenae if poss.

or one of them plus Leandro, who will be prepared to spend some time on the bench while he settles in....

Vucinic and Adebayor would suggest to me that Harry wants 4-4-2 with Rafa on the right, or a 4-2-3-1 with Adebayor up top, VDV in behind...and Vucinic in place of Lennon, or on the left of a three with Bale at left back.

Plenty of options though, but dont see it happening like that.

Its interesting - But because the market is so small that will prob drop the price a lot for the press to notice? No?

On that point though, I played golf with Steve Clarke recently - two weeks ago - and he was saying Harry is in trouble with this.

Hughes has been mentioned by one or two ITK people as being Levy's preferred replacement.

Quite how someone can know the outcome of a court case that hasn't started yet is another thing altogether though.

Nobody can know if Redknapp is going down, it's an independent jury directed by a judge. Jurors are not allowed to discuss the case outside of court, not with anybody, not with eachother, not with whoever sucks their dicks at night. If they do and get caught, they face criminal sanctions. At the beginning of the case, the judge makes this abundantly clear to them.

I am concerned about this too.

I keep thinking of Lester Piggott the jockey who got 3 years for a similar offence.

I hope if the worst happens we don't get Mark Hughes - (you think we had too many draws last season0

There has got to be a better manager out there.

And Berba stepped up and became top scorer in the Prem......

Who did that for us when Defoe went back to his average best? nobody.

Hence we need two.

4 months is nearly half a season. The reliance on two players tow score or assist our goals last year was apparent as soon as they went off the boil.

What is the general idea of the consequences of this trial? Are we talking a jail term? Either way if found guilty I'd hope he was relived of his position. To be honest apart from something tax related I'm not entirely sure what the charges are

Ever tried to have a big bet in a bookies?

you can't unless its a major sporting event like the world cup.

If I want 2 grand on an each way horse, I have to go to 20 shops. I am banned from betting on the dogs in the city and my home area.

Mate who's a Chelsea fan text me saying he's heard city are going to offer 50 mil for him?

But Luca wants to play for a big club. A £50M bid from City will hopefully kill Chelseas interest.
