I think we will still do some business but I'm not saying who just yet.
Very doubtful it will be anyone of any note and obviously not poch's top target... Let's make do once again, I look forward to another season on pinning hopes on Kyle naughton, nabil bentaleb and Harry Kane whilst Liverpool move a bit further away from us. Same old same old

Phew, for a minute there JJ I thought you were going to tell us that Dawson had signed a new 5 year contract!

Not that I want this thread to descend into another Dawson debate, of course...:sneaky:

A&C's tip for a top, top 'triffic romantic meal. Backscuttle the mrs in front of the TV while the game is on. Rest your plate on the small of her back. Say Happy Anniversary darling.

If you're lucky, Spurs will score as your on your vinegar strokes.

Genius A&C, i'll send back those anal beads & lube right now :brb:

We needed a back up keeper, a left back and a centre back. We bought them. Other signings would be nice but right now we have more players than a lunch match in a school playground.
I'm sure your aware a back up keeper a 2nd choice left back and a young and very inexperienced c back is not going to push us on to where we want to be? Get the blinkers off please !!!

Of course it is perfectly plausible that we sit here wailing and gnashing our teeth on September 2nd with no ins and Dawson on loan at Zenit with 'we tried' ringing in our ears.

This time I'm not too worried. We've signed players in positions we needed. It's not a Nelsen and Saha window.
Quite!

Would people rather we splurged money on sub standard players and foisted them upon Poch?!

I for one would much rather see what Poch can do with our current personnel and if necessary, then pursue the likes of Rodriguez and Schneiderlin in January - y'know, players, Pochettino actually wants and not the likes of Remy who's touted here, there and everywhere and not an upgrade on what we have.

i reckon we will sign them both.

Levy is just shitting us, he always come through in the end
have you been in that coma since the day VdV signed? Levy hardly ever comes through in the end with these long drawn out transfers, every Jan transfer window slams shut with major disappointment and more often than not leaves us short in the run in for the league while we're well placed to do great things but he fails to come through and help us cement things

Although hopefully with Baldini in place things will be different - i doubt it

Id be very disappointed if come sept 2nd we haven't brought in another CB if indeed Dawson leaves..

That is a minimum requirement.

Well my take..... I would be amazed if there is not one major incoming / outgoing deal to cover the same position. Is MS or MM really worth north of £20m when you compare to what we already have ? The squad has had £m's spent on it, and let's see how they get on. I for one would love to have a couple of new additions, but the squad in reality is excellent already.

... Schieiderlin. LWF , playmaker can wait but without a first team CB we are in trouble. Dier looks promising but it's an ask. Im worried at how much the sky 5 have strengthened compared to us. We seem to have trouble shifting players unlike our rivals ... Bentley, Gomes, BAE. .. players that were away from 1st team football for years ... any ITK on why outgoings are so difficult? ..I know finances are an issue but trying to avoid a loss at the expense of stifling business growth is foolhardy.

How have you come to the conclusion that remy is not better than what we have ? Lennon, Kane, soldado ? Obviously you haven't referred to any stats so just curious how you came to this?

Ooh he's so cheeky, dashing our hopes, then coming back with a teasing snippet that leaves us all guessing....(cue wildfire of random names...)
In this case, guessing wouldn't be encouraged because there's even less than The Goat's last cryptic to go on :D

Just waiting for 11th hour bid to SCBC or Villarreal, and then to our surprise our bids are rejected and we end up signing Rasiak or Frazier Campbell....

No matter how many managers we change, we always end up with the same thing, him not being backed. So if the problem is not the players, not the managers, not the technical director's fault is it finally time to lay blame on the chairman?
