Would westbrom mug themselves off by making that powerful statement on Tuesday and selling him by Saturday? I'm sorry but i really can't see it

Via coys. Not sure if he'd want his info in the read only would he?

From Paul of SO

"Ok, don't shoot the messenger.

Berahinho is almost certainly at the "done deal" stage. yesterday spurs apparently got all anxious on WBA and wanted the deal done so he could be announced today and available for tomorrow. That scares me and smacks of an issue with Harry, BUT my info is at WBA not spurs so that is purely speculative.

However Fazio stayed in Birmingham last night add held talks with WBA, medical this morning assuming talks went well. Could well see it announced today. WBA want the deals done separate as they want fans to know they got a big price for Saido.

If it doesn't happen today. Then Tuesday should be the day."

If it doesn't happen today then why would it be *specifically Tuesday & not Monday?

Anyways, good news if true, the earlier it gets done the more time we will have to wrap up a DM.

Shame to see Fazio go as I think he had potential to be a good player for us if given a run in the team. Saying that, I'd probably rather see Toby and Eric given more game time anyway.

I agree that if this is a WBA pr issue then we won't see berahino announced before the weekend...in which case we'll have a very good idea once we see if he starts on Sunday or not!

Am I the only one not seeing the idea of Fazio and Berahino being split into seperate deals? Surely, if done this way both clubs will have to pay more in taxes this way? Perhaps they are just being announced as seperate deals, but is basically a swap + cash to suit both clubs.

There's also the very good chance that I am completely wrong though... :(

Have any ITK's said it is 5m or is that just brought into the thread from papers?

I guess that technically the fee will be unknown. It'll be used as a variable 'x' in the equation of £x = Fazio, therefore £y + £x = Berahino fee.

They'll probably state the Berahino fee as significant but undisclosed, and we'll never know how much £x (faz) was so as to keep the illusion up that we paid whatever fan pleasing ridiculous fee WBA may or may not want.

If Fazio and Berahino are linked as suggested, but are being reported seperately for WBA PR, then surely they wouldn't want us to announce them on the same day?
If WBA have agreed the Beharino deal but don't want it announced until Tuesday he surely won't play this weekend.
In which case their PR is shot to pieces anyway.

If WBA don't want it to seem that Faz is related to Berahino then one would imagine they will try and separate the two deal as far apart as possible.

The only bit which isn't good is his observation that our anxiety maybe stems from an issue with Harry.

Couldn't agree more yet some on here are lauding levy for selling Capoue , Vlad , and Soldado yet we took huge hits on all 3. In any other business if a ceo wasted over 100 m he would be replaced.....

Archibald!! ARCHIBALD!! Get the mingewrangler on the fire old boy... we've got another one for you here!

think youre right. no way would levy ordinarily sanction 5m for fazio, who did ok last season and cv is strong. interesting to see what numbers are disclosed, after both deals are done. wba will surely claim their terms were met, even if sb fee is undisclosed. we will not publicly contradict that, but itk will hint at us getting him cheaper thanks to clauses bla, especially the infor tgat comes from the club not agents.

That is clearly onion.

As solid is Paul Smith usually is, I'd take an extra pinch of salt this morning, as it appears this is coming from other sources than usual if it's from the West Brom side.

If we allow West Brom to buy Fazio at a knock down price without being able to finalise the Berahinho deal then I will lose what little faith I have in our transfer strategy.

Harry Kane trained this week, he's in the video with N'Jie etc so there's no issue. If he wasn't fit then we wouldn't have seen him.

Do West Brom have to announce the fee of transfers? I wonder if they will announce Fazio as a bargain £5m and the sale of Berahino as undisclosed.
