Well thats not good news long term. Harry should be just getting back from WC duty that week. Not gearing up to play a PL match. I understand he’s deseperate to play and score goals but Poch should put his foot down for Harry’s own good. He needs proper recovery and some rest because god knows he doesnt get any during the season being our only striker. Harry shouldnt play the first 2 matches, IMO.

There hasn't been any further information on HY's update about people being in Asia to do transfers and naming rights. I'm surprised because I would think the club would find it more difficult to control leaks if they are looking at players in the far East

When was this? I can't see anything in the RO about it.

And i maintain that ths is DL’s biggest year, this year/season will be his legacy... keep believing....

As always it's the hope that kills you! We all hoped at the beginning of the summer that this would be the case. Big 2 weeks coming up if so!

Val hasn't said that either of them will start. They could just be on the bench so they can come on if needed. And the game is roughly a month after Englands last match so it's not like he'll get no rest at all. They'll probably get about the same amount of rest as Son who's back in training already.

Im not worried about transfers at all if I’m honest I just want to see new faces. If you think about it and add up all the elements we can see that
1) DL only invests to get a return whether it be players, managers, training ground or Stadium
2) The stadium is his largest single investment
3) To make a gain on the stadium it must be used to its full capacity which requires being filled weekly for matches
4) To gain fans attendance weekly DL investment in the team is crucial

DL knows top team = bums on seats = £m’s

He’s not interested in making a loss so I think we all just need to relax, stop melting and allow signings to happen when they happen and ENJOY THE RIDE BECAUSE THIS SEASON IS GOING TO BE A BIG ONE!

100%. I'd love to see him given until after the international break/ Liverpool home game so he can switch off, enjoy fatherhood once again, chill out and just take a chill after his efforts over the past twelve months for club and country but 4 games missed for fatigue and rest is a bit too much when it involves your talisman and Sonny is leaving for the Asian games.

Kane's first game back should be the 2nd away game or ideally the game vs Fulham at home. The guy really needs to switch off if he's going to still be a juggernaut at 30

ali z: I am going to try and make these easy as I can to understand, we do have money to spend, that is not the issue. The issue is we have 6/7 players we want out who are clogging up wages and a spot in the squad, the transfer market ending early is an issue as nearly all the interest is from abroad and they know they can wait and get bargains, as I understand we have no bids for these players, we can't just buy and have 4/5 players unregistered.

As of this morning I was told we have incomings lined up but we need outgoings to make space, Dembele may well stay as no bids and we don't want him out.

If we just added to wage bill we without seeing players out it would be financial suicide. In addition as HY said grealish is pretty much done.

Wonder if we will see the window moved back to end of August?

Doesn't sound like we're willing to take the risk of buying players first and selling cast offs abroad after our window shuts. We could be stuck with them. Might only mean the only player we buy is Grealish if we can't get rid of anyone before the earlier deadline.

That is worrying and will be a painful pill to swallow if that prohibits us from bringing in players Poch wants to strengthen us. Maybe a couple of loans will free up some room?

I thought a fee for Dembele had been agreed with a Chinese club.

Presumably this means that because the Chinese transfer window has closed, that deal is no longer an option and the Moose either goes to a European club (like Inter) or stays.

I cannot see any scenario in which we sell him to another PL club. I would also be surprised if Levy let him run his contract down so he could leave for nothing.

If it’s only Grealish, that’s one seriously underwhelming window. I don’t think it will be but it’ll be anti-viagra if it is
